Re: Post some vids boys!!
Yup, it's very serious, but it's a lot worse in a Spider. I haven't seen a GTV6 driveshaft actually get through the tunnel. I don't know if it has thicker sheet metal, but a big difference is the way the driveshaft is connected.
At least in the GTV6/Milano you can slow the driveshaft down to idle with the clutch pedal, and stop it by shutting off the motor with the clutch in. When driving a Spider, the driveshaft won't stop until the car comes to a complete stop.

That's cool! Maldi posted my video preview. We are filming an Alfa Reality show, called "Heavy Metal Alfa's Adventures". A couple episodes almost done, several more in the works. Enjoy !!

Re: Post some vids boys!!
We need our Italian translators for the Safari GTV driven by Munari . Do they say what size engine it is . The very first GTV 3.0 ever made was for this rally and when this car came back to AutoDelta , a certain chap ( Roger McCleery) who was on a PR trip for Alfa South Africa to Italy when he discovered this car by chance and that's when they told him it was a 3.0 l .
Ten minutes later Roger was on the phone to the late Dr Bianco telling him of their discovery and immediately cranks, piston sleeve kits were ordered. SA opted for carbs as our racing department could not wait for all the software conversions (3 months)to the ECU and we had a chap here who was a fundi with carbs so all the Alfa Sei that were in the factory were immediately stripped for carbs and heads.
I had lunch last week with Roger and after a few beers I got to hear some really good stories on Alfa South Africa racing escapades.
A funny story I should mention when alfa was racing a 9hr indurance with a 2.0 giulietta in 1983 they destroyed a motor in practice on Friday and had no motor for Saturday. The only option was a customers car thar came in for service - so they borrowed the engine. The car won it's class on Index and the motor went straight back in to the customers car on Monday morning.
The customer came back to the dealer as he was so I impressed how freely his engine was revving.
This was one of at least twent funny things they got up to.
