24v Crank Pulley / 60-2 trigger wheel

Post by BradGTV »

got my 24v today (from 916 gtv) and noticed they dont run the trigger wheel on the crank pulley but on the flywheel :?:

id like to use a gtv6 front pulley to match the flywheel, but i need the 60-2 trigger wheel and pick up to work with a gotech when i get it... im thinking that i need to machine off the trigger wheel from a 12v 164 pulley and press it onto the gtv6 pulley? is there a way to know what postiton the trigger wheel goes in relation to the sensor? and does the gtv 24v have a mount for the crank sensor on the front cover? if not do i need to use the 12v 164 front cover?

thanks, Brad

Brad I used the same pulley as it was simpler but then I got a trigger wheel from a 164 and machined it and also made it thinner so when I pressed it onto pulley it would not interfere with water pump . It's actually the easiest route . Just change your alternator pulley as well . We get them off the shelf here . All you must do is align it all up . The trigger bracket is more tricky but their are holes to mount it . Have a look at my link and I think there are pics . viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2648

Might look at what I did here. This is a 12V but the trigger wheel stuff is the same
