More info on this link :
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4352

So they are DEVIL SODEMO, they are no more available and very rare.

Mine are oval diameter 36-40 mm, this fact make them easier to mount.

Look the other model (circle diameter 40 mm) of my friend David
Image

The manifold touch the body, he has to cut the body.
Image

Of course these circle 40 mm are best for power on trackday's car but not very welcome on a road car you don't want to modify to much.

Here is the story of the V6's rebuilt :
I bought brand new injector like stock :

http://cgi.ebay.com:80/ebaymotors/SMP-S ... 5ae2052acb

Image

With my friend Marc we took off the motor !
Image

With 600W light it's more confortable

Image

Amazing, it was easier than the 4 cylinders

Image

And after have beers of course !

As I know more 4 cylinders than V6, my friend David came to help me many times, thank you David !

Heads are off !
Image
Hey gatouille don't you forgot the second one ???

Oups sorry, I told you I know more 4 cylinders with ONE head

Image

The sister Alfetta is looking at the work...

Image
Heads and cams are in very good shape (only 76 000 km) But I decided to make the job as it is a used motor, because everything is opened, and I think it's time to do and easier than later.
Image

Valves guide seals are out of order and also bronze exhaust valve guides (only mounted on earlier GTV6. They are a well know weak point.
I will replace them by brand new cast iron one.

Image

1,2,3,4,5 and 6 pistons ouch ! :)
Pistons and liners are ok, liners will be "honed" and I use brand new piston's rings
Image

It's important to always keep pulley, Crankshaft and flvwheel together because they were "balancing" by Alfa works.
Image

Image

Some of parts will be glassblast...

Cleaning always cleaning
My wife hope to have same husband's work at home

Image

Oups! I made a mistake ans the head is hurted
There is no importance we are going to machine heads about 0,9 mm !
Image

A 155 V6 2,5 L (motronic) for 100 euros
I planed to take the camshafts, because they are very intersting (profile are between standard GTV6 and 164 S (QV)
Look and lift is 9,6
Image

Sorry in french but I think everybody will understand (in case of not you "just" have to learn french  )
Image

Image

I hate working on FWD, I hate
Image

Here is exhaust with the Devil SODEMO, I'll change a bit because it's too rigid.
Image

Image

The car which had these manifolds crashed so there are not in good shape.
Image

Image

Image
Image

As usual, because I'm a very little and humble DIYer, I will use my "network" of friends to repare these manifolds...

6 musicians (I hope so)
Image

Let there be light, drums, guitar !!!!!!
Sorry, you guess I am afan of AC/DC, liners have been honed
Image
Weight adjust and control between pistons rod etc...
Diffrence less than 1/2 gram witch is not so bad for road use only

Image

Sorry if my english is not perfect at all.
Thank you for your read

Sunday 6h40 in the morning, you can imagine how well motivated we were my freind David and I !
It's time to rebuilt the motor !!!

#@** The son of....his mother
on part for Crankshaft's got a difference,
I mean part #17
Image
Most of the time this part's got a "omega" profile like the greek letter I mean, but earlierst V6 had a "half circle" profile.
It's hard to find them. I kept the genuine one which was ok (2,33 mm) mini 2,31

When mounting the oil pomp IT'S VERY IMPORTANT to make it turn as you mount screws, that prevent failure or (on 4 cylinders breaking delco)

Unfortunately camshaft ok my A55 V6 are different ! They are shorter !
Impossible to moint them in my heads.

So I decided to use regrinded camshaft, very good quality and cheap :
http://www.dbilas-shop.com/Products/Per ... _2945.html

I choose the Road profil
V6 2,0 - 2,5 - 3,0 12V

Applikation : Road
Duration: : 272
Peak timing: : 110
Valve lift: : 9,1
Lift at TDC: : 2,7
Valve timing: : 26/66 - 66/26
Valve clearence: : 50/25

One of my friend choose the rally one because he use only the car on trackdays
V6 2,0 - 2,5 - 3,0 12V

Applikation : Rallye

Duration: : 290
Peak timing: : 105
Valve lift: : 10,7
Lift at TDC: : 2,8
Valve timing: : 40/70 - 70/40
Valve clearence: : 50/25

Price is (with nitrured) about 400/450 euros 2 camshafts, which is not so expensive.

Culasses are almost ready, new guides, valves and seats have been "machined"

Later I will machined the head 0,9 mm less because my CR target is 10:1
Image

"hélicoïl" kit 7 X 100
Image

eMost of the time we meet trouble with this screw that I decided to use Helicoil kit.

Image

Image

Rule is simple for 7 X 100 you need a hole of 7 mm.

All seal will changed, compressor's oil...

Head during machined, thank you Jivaro, very nice job !
I hope he know his job, as he used to work on Peugeot 905 and Formula one !
Image

6 brand new but stock injectors :

My target is to have a road use 2,5L with little more power and torque, wait ans see !
