Re: Need s some advice on an Alfetta GTV 3.2 V6 24v conversion

Hi Kevin R,
Just tried the standard V6 bonnet and it fits ,
I only need to change the fitting on the injector rail.
When I purchased the throttle bodies AHM did ask me if they were going on an Alfetta GTV.

Oil dipstick level settings:

On the 3.2 24v V6, I am using the original oil level dipstick that came with the engine, with the modified engine oil sump, where should the oil level marks be on the dipstick. :?:

Alfaaa1 I'll be tinkering with my 24v tomorrow. I'll measure the dipstick for you and take a photo. If you fill it to the level on your stick you'll be around 1.5 liters too much. Blow a lot of oil through your intake and smoke out the exhaust.

Alfaaa1, so I remembered to check the dipstick for you.
Basically the bottom of the factory stick you have is the low mark and the notch you see in the pic is the full mark.
This will put your oil level 1mm or so below the factory levels.
From the stop on the 24v dipstick its 530mm to the full mark
Having trouble attaching s pic but I'll keep trying but you get the idea...

Hi , need a bit of advice .
Got back on my project toy and now starting on the engine.
As I am using AHM Throttle bodies , how would I run the idle with the throttles closed, I really don't want to modify the housings. :?:

Hi to All.
Just thinking leave the throttles open just slightly 1-2 mm and the TPS at zero and the ECU to run the engine @ 650 RPM. :?:

Does the ITB have a idle bypass screw or something? Otherwise you need to go with your method by leaving the throttle open a little. Do you have a vacuum balancer for adjusting vacuum at idle? That's what I saw my mechanic use when he tunes the 4-cam boxers 16vs since they all had ITBs.

Hi 75evo,
These throttle bodies don't have bypass idle screws, I have emailed AHM for advice but they have not responded yet. :(

Hi to All.
Got a reply from AHM and they stated to leave the throttles open just slightly.
I just need to make sure that the throttles openings are balanced the same.
