hahahaha.....Barry, wish I could take the car to 200 km/h on Western Australian roads. "Hoon Laws" just got introduced and anyone exceeding 45 km/h over the speed limit (Speed limits are about 100 km/h on freeways and 110 km/h on country roads will get their car confiscated and most likely...

Barry, My engine is identical to Bernard's. I think it had the Group 1 cams, VR6 coil packs, yellow top injectors? Not sure about plug leads but maybe you can gather from the pics. Couldn't find the other plugs but here's a few pics of the Cyl no. 3 plugs. Doesn't look good at all. I have a new set ...

Thanks Barry, With the throttle enrichment %, is it the "Accel DV/DT" row? It was set at 5 but I'll try 4 and see what happens. Start up fuel is at 42 - should I set it higher so that the engine doesn't die after cranking? I've set the bars before 12 to 2.03. Haven't tried it on the car bu...

CChan, How is your motor going? Have you managed to get your GoTech Pro tuned properly and how smooth did you manage to get it? My engine is similiar to yours but I can't seem to get it tuned to run as smooth as OEM. I still have idle problems and slight hesitation on initial throttle. I noticed you...

Guys, Unfortunately not my alfetta - just one that was advertised for sale here in Oz (Put it in for illustration purposes only). Was thinking about getting one but very difficult to get one in immaculate condition as they suffered from the dreaded rust - a lot worse than the GTV6's. Also being a 4 ...

X-rad,

Seems like you are trying to convert the car to an alfetta GT 1979-81? Why not just get one instead of going backwards?

Hey John, Esperan, How are your cars going? John, did you end up getting the new car registered? Mine went through ok the second time round. Luckily got another examiner who passed it. Esperan, did you get your injectors done and gotech tuned? Mine still hasn't been tuned properly and has been sitti...

Headlamp washers

I am not sure if it's only peculiar to Australian RHD cars but was wondering how the headlamp washer units that are screwed on the top of the front bumpers work. There's a water line connecting them but somehow, I think it's been blocked off by someone else. When I tried to connect them up, water se...

Hey CChan, Must be some difference between LHD and RHD cars. I didn't need to touch the brake booster or mst cylinder at all. Just cut out the valve cover (The one that has the alfa romeo emblem) on the back to clear the booster. Otherwise, really straight forward job. Other people with RHD cars car...

Funny how the front rotors look so small with the 17 inch wheels. I am sure performance will be greatly improved from the OEM setup. Probably 330mm rotors will look the part but may be overkill?

Alfisti PT,

Thanks for the compliment. The suspension is Ron Simon's coilovers and all the bushes have been replaced with polyurethane. The brakes are stock and will be the next upgrade. When will it end .... :-)

John, Your car looks fantastic. Did you manage to go through the pits ok? Mine hasn't arrived yet and will be in the next day or so. Apparently has to go through quarantine. Alfettish, wheel are replicas of SZ wheels made in the UK. Very expensive as they have to be air freighted and australian cust...
