Any idea what the A/C stuff weighs all together??

Sporting Regs. for the SCCA class I'm running in allow the removal of any 'optional' equipment. So if the weight savings is enough to warrent the loss of A/C, I might pull it at some point.

Thanks!

Customs on stuff that's leaving? That makes no sense to me.

We'll have a group buy, then drive them to Canada and ship from there.

TUORacing's site says that the OEM hood was 36lbs, so 28lbs of weight savings. Pretty substantial. Hopefully there's a way to get them shipped.

TUORacing seems to be running a CF hood. Seen here: http://www.tuoracing.com/images/cf_hood_1_for_website.jpg The company that makes it is Prototype Composites . Their website is a bit empty, and they're in the States, which might be an issue for you guys (shipping or it's a LHD only hood  ).....

Interesting replies, guys. Thanks. I actually had just begun investigating the MegaSquirt yesterday. When I first bought my GTV6, my thoughts centered on GoTech. My innate cheapness is taking hold, as is the thought of a fun DIY project. Judging from those responses, the MS (or similar) seems ...

I guess the reasoning behind using the AFM from a 528 is the engine displacement? Is there similar reasoning behind the ECU being from a 635? Is this the only recommended combinations or are there other options that will work?

Thanks!

Comes with lower seals too...
Wow, $250 w/ lower seals is pretty appealing! My cylinder #5 looked like it was running lean (rather white plug vs. the nominal black on others), maybe I'll pick up a balanced set!

oh yeah, injectors were only 320$ total w/shipping That's a solid price. Does that include any core charge for your old injectors? And do these come with all the seals you need when replacing them or would I have to buy the lower O-ring and/or others? Sorry if that should be obvious....I've never r...

If you raise the RC, you should know what effects it has. When you do is you get more weight transfer unsprung through the RC. Still the amount of weight transfer through the springs remain constant. So, the sum will increase = less grip The same for guys lowering the rear RC. The spring stiffness ...

Whoa, I don't pay attention for an evening and suddenly there's an explosion of activity! :D Grant/Potenziato: Thanks for posting/providing the effective spring rates for the T-bars! 8) That's handy information and saves me much time in calculating... Thanks! This is a calculation specific to each vehicle then? So chosing contact patch center vs. outer edge is a non-issue so long as I'm consistant?

grant: yes, but that car is balanced from the start as you said, the 116 chassis has fenomenal understeer built into the chassis because of the out-of-this-world body roll. The de-Dion does a nice job to keep the rear camber but the front camber goes out the window. So we need to make the car much ...

Custon in this case means "The guy who built the car made the control arms and had Bilstein make the shocks to his spec". 8) That Andy guy seems like a nice guy, I think he is absolutely right! Sounds awesome. Is there any geometry adjustment done in the design of your tubular control arm...

Move all the weight back that you can actually move, throw away everything else. AC? Does it even work on such an old car? That's a good question actually. I think in my 10 months of ownership, I've never tried mine. Are the AC components easy to remove and re-install should I ever revert the car b...
