1984 GTV6 Resto Project or Parts Car - Durham, NC
Hi all, Selling a 1984 GTV6 that I once had envisioned restoring but simply do not have any time for. I'd rather pass it to someone else - preferably a fellow Alfa enthusiast - than have it continue to deteriorate from neglect. Good: - body is in decent shape, some rust around sunroof and windshield...

Alfabob
Hi folks, Anybody ever buy anything from Alfa Bob on eBay? His stuff seems like high quality and he has good feedback. I'm thinking of buying one of his cylinder head rebuild kits for my 2.5 V6. Only reason I'm a little bit reluctant is that I can't find any info on the brand of parts he's advertisi...

For anyone still reading this (better late than never): I ended up initially doing what Scott said last year and it probably was o.k., but I didn't like that the car was dumping coolant every time the engine was turned off after being hot. It did seem like it was getting less each time, but I just w...

Missing Bleed Screw on T-Stat
Hi all, I recently tried to change my coolant, and noticed that the bleed valve described in the owner's manual isn't there. There's a smooth hole in the top cover of the thermostat valve, with large diameter going to smaller diameter (presumably for the threads of the screw that's supposed to be th...

For anyone who is curious: found a NOS Jaguar XJ-6 cold start injector (think it is Bosch 0 280 170 028) and the car starts again. Yay! It was almost impossible to start without it when it was less than 90°F outside, so I guess mine does absolutely need one. Then again, the engine does not run well ...

Thanks Barry - I figured it might deliver a little less fuel, seeing as how it's meant for 4 cylinders instead of 6. I'm pretty sure that the injector's keeping my car from starting properly. I checked it a few weeks ago, and it was working o.k. The car's been sitting for a looooong time, and I forg...

Cold Start Valve
Howdy, Glad to have found this forum - it's awesome how much info you guys put up here. Great to hear from other people who love these cars! Anyway, my '84 GTV6 needs a new cold start injector. I just figured out that the old one's all clogged up, probably beyond repair. Does anyone know if there's ...
