I ordered a set of Corteco at Rockauto, i am not sure this is the best product in the world but if i have to reopen again i don't want to put to much money in. Hello X-Rad ! I decided to disassemble this bloody hell engine because i am still trying to find cracks in my block (remember i have oil mixing with water). You're right oversized bearing for axial load surface doesn't exist, my idea was to machine a specific one in brass to compensate the clearance...

Hello all, the interesting thing when you disassemble an engine is that you always find wrong stuff you will have to repair/change. Zambon, My crank is in the same configuration on my 3.0l 24V. At first i wondered why it had such a groove and your topic helped me with all those contributors ! Sadly i found bad rod bearing on it :( Who knows how to identify an original size or overborder one on the bearings shells ? Any good sour...

Hello guys, Now after few weeks off i tried some different tests on my engine to locate this bloody leak and still nothing !! :x First test: 8 Bars in the coolant circuit filled with water + fluorescine and try to reveal leaks with black light, oil pan removed to see the sleeve base and o'ring area ...

Het Mats you've got a sharp eye ! Yes the engine is M5 E34 (315hp) with Sybele EFI and Zeitronix data logging. A good stuff to do a good job.

You only torque at 88 Nm and it is enough ? I tried the Alfa method when i reassembled last time => 25 Nm + 240° of course in several steps.
