Re: 166 24v into 116 GTV
I just noticed that injectors i use are not stock (at least i think so..) 166 3.0. They have bosch number "0 280 150 701" stamped so they seem to be 164 3.0 injectors with 244cc/min flow. What's the flow/number of original 166 3.0 injector? i added a bit of fuel pressure (to 3.5bar) and ca...

Re: 166 24v into 116 GTV
Sounds like you need to put your car on a dyno and get all the vital data (AF, ignition timing, MAF voltage, etc, fuel pressure, compression, etc). BTW did you triple check your cam timing? I will do that off course but i need to sort out this issue before i go to dyno. I don't wanna break anything...

Re: 166 24v into 116 GTV
What ECU do you use in your setup? stock 166 3.0? i have just finished my project with 166 3.0 24v engine transplant into my GTV6. I do have some issues still left to be solved and the biggest is lack of power :? car is slower than my 156 2.5 v6 24v... so my question is, do you know if trigger wheel...

Re: 3.0L 24V Tach working
Anything new with this one?
I'm working on a 3.0 24v conversion on my '86 GTV6 and will be using stock Motronic ECU from 166 3.0 V6. Anyone knows if the tacho works simply by connecting Motronics tach output to GTV6 tach?

Re: Angel Eye Headlights
2) WAY to much effort when you can just use the complete old BMW 5(1980's) series lense. Even though the Bm lense is not curved if I had to recomend going Xenon use this old bm lense below and add xenon. The lenses give the correct spread of light. To purist its not curved but atleast your Alfa hea...

Hi everyone! I found this pic on the 75/milano manual but it does not tell what clearance should V6 engines have between bellhousing and propshaft. Does any of you know the correct clearance? I'm really having hard time trying to get my milano running without vibrations. It's originally TS but has n...

You have a 75TS with a 3.0 in it? You can use the TS gearbox and clutch('good TS clutch can handle v6 power). You will have to either change the tripod(??) on the front side iof the gearbox I have 3.0 in a TS chassis too. megasquirted 3.0 V6 with single Garrett GT3076RS. So TS clutch will not handl...

I'm switching 2.0TS engine to 3.0 V6 in my milano. Job is almost done but i wan't to use my TS transaxle because it's rebuilt only few months ago. secondly i don't have V6 transaxle and they are really rare here. question is can i use yoke taken from V6 transaxle in my TS gearbox without changing th...

Myself I have made an 2.7l for an 96 GTV TB. I bored the 2l V6 block to fit the 3L 164 liners and pistons - and used the 2l crank. 164 3l heads with std cams. With an T4 Turbonetics this one runs very well. Have not had one problem with this engine, 6500km driven so far, 1 - 1.8bar boost.. Hi! Does...

I had some conversation with one of the experts from our local forum and he claim that there is no need for lightening gears, since they have small diameter and small rotating mass. Better thing to do by his opinion, is to replace original clutch plate with lighter. IE couldn't save the file but fi...
