Re: I went and did it!

Update :D She's on the road !!! This old gal had done a lot of sitting. When was the last time anyone saw a pirrelli timing belt? All the rubber under the hood is new or silicone (thank you greg gordon). The previous owner mentioned a driveshaft vibration... think this was the culprit? http://i247.p...

As a FNG, I've found this thread totally enlightening over the months, and am amazed at the scope of this project. My car will just be a fun commuter. When it's all done, I'd love to see some pics, or better yet a vid!!!

Thanks guys. crawled underneath and took a looksee. It was the passenger side E-brake binding up. Pried her loose. :D Thanks about the clutch sticking info. The previous owner told me that's why he quit driving her (as infrequent as that was) She'd sit for two weeks and it'd stick. Seems some short ...

Busted linkage?

I introduced myself months ago, and I finally got around to having my Balocco shipped to sunny Arizona. The car sat in a garage for 3 years and needs a clutch according to the friend I bought her from. She rolled off of the truck just fine. I think I may have done something stupid. I got in to adjus...

The prev owner removed the black "hockey stripe", and painted the lower plastic body color at his wifes request. While he was at it he put some red on the wheels. Blech :| I've had Marchesinis powder coated before, but it had to be at a lower temp, so there wasn't any weakening of the meta...

She's #297. The red on the wheels is the first thing to go... Glossy black for the wheels instead. I don't think you can powdercoat magnesium... The metal might anneal. Please correct me if i'm wrong. The ride height will be fixed. :D Nice thing is that other than the red lower bodywork, she has nev...

I went and did it!

I'm the proud new owner of a 1982 Balocco with 70,000 original miles. The fellow I bought it from is a fellow Guzzi enthusiast. Title is in my hands, and the paper trail from the original owners. Now I'm just working on the delivery details. The clutch supposedly sticks, and she needs new driveshaft...

Will I fit in a GTV6?

Hello, hopefull newbie here. I found a 1982 GTV6 that needs some TLC and I really want the car. Problem is it's not nearby, and I don't know if I will fit inside. I'm 6'4, longer torso. Can I squeeze myself in ? I don't have to be comfortable mind you. Years ago I tried a pantera but it wasn't going...
