@MD and Bruce, The bigger the better. Why not calculate it: I borrowed this from the Dutch Aflaclub, copyright Roy van Gortel. Ok it's in Dutch but for the South-Africans no problem. http://www.alfaclub.nl/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=13556&highlight=alles+wat+++wilde+weten You can use these programmes...

If you want to keep the A.C. you can easily fit a liquid to air intercooler. I have done it. There is plenty of room for this in a Milano, with a GTV6, it's a much bigger problem. Greg I have read the pro and cons about A-A and L-A intercoolers. I always had a problem with the extra equipment and w...

Bi-Turbo 3.0 V6 12V project

It has been a troublesome time for me. I had to make some decisions which could cost me money/time/effort. First, I nearly dropped this project due to political devellopments. Because the Netherlands are a part of Europe (for those who didn't knew  ), this country must obey to European legisla...

Its important to place the louvres as far back as possible, because the ridewind pressure at the beginning on the hood is high. The louvres create a underpressure (talk to the airplane guy about wings) and stimulate a better flow of ridewind through the enginebay. No more overheating problems.... S...

I did see them driving in Zandvoort 1980-1983. They sounded very nice. Deep and not soooooo loud. The Ford V8 sounded also very nice. The Ferrari V12 was a loud but nice screemer. The Alfa 12 cilinder sounded terrible, very very loud . I my opinion twice as loud then the Ferrari and screeming like c...

Now Its in the Netherlands polular to use fully synthetic racing oil in stead of the "normal" fully sythetic oil. For example: - Racing Gastrol 10W60 in stead of - Normal Mobil1 0W40 If I read the numbers correctly it means that the Gastrol is in warm condition 50% thicker than the Mobil ...

That looks very very pro.
The importance of intake pipes of equally length is gone when the manifold is pressurized? I thought that even under pressure resonace-pipes where helpfull.

Evert: Combining the fuel and ignition into one ECU is a pretty standard practice and doesn't create any problems, reliability or otherwise. The only possible source of electrical interference to the SDS ECU is from the spark plug wires. The stock Alfa wires have copper cores and WILL cause interfe...
