Is that with t3 inlet on a log manifold or EL manifold?
And u are right, smaller turbine housing would be better... that 100 hp kick between 4k-4.5k rpm is crazy... you say it doesn't feel alive in the street? yes the power comes in late but it must be fun

Yes the 75 V6 3.0 is beefier than TS , the 1.8t and 3.0 V6 both use the same clutch... TS is smaller/thinner...

Alfa Variator works between 1000 and 3500 rpm... and it boosts torque between 2500 and 3200 rpm...at 3500 it goes back to normal timing... It advances the valves 10 degrees between those rpm... and thats it... 1.8t engines are not as common in europe as u might think... the whole series was sold on ...

k, thx Duke and Garth I'm not disputing that EL beats log in every respect, and that properly build manifold is the way to go... but u guys live in australia and have access to many good fabricators and materials... on the other hand I live in a backwater country that still thinks that cold war is o...

ok since we are on the topic of turbos... does anyone know what is max hp stock manifold on 1.8t is good for... some say ~250 hp some 220... even heard of one doing 300 on stock... Mat said they all crack? mine is still good after 125k km... stock would have superior spool compared to EL... maybe it...

nice, i didnt know turbos were made with narrow stripe... or normal bumpers... a saw few in italy with normal bumpers... mine is the amerika model with wide ts strip and heavy suspended bumpers... that are coming off in near future... :) this was actually series 1 turbo... 1986-87? mine is from dece...
