Re: alfagtv6.com moved to a new host

Hi Michael and Happy New Year to All! Thanks for keeping the site alive (I'm also looking at You Zamani as well) even though I haven't visited quite frequently over the recent years. As always I'm still here for donation in order to cover the cost of hosting and maintenance, just keep posting. Nowad...

Colour code for the original Campagnolo wheels

Hi Everyone and Merry Christmas! A freind of mine is in the middle of a renovation process of the original Campagnolo rims of the GTV6. Is there someone who knows the correct colour code for them? It could be anything which can be translated into a recipe (RAL, PPG, or any manufacturer code) He had ...

Re: Performance on road, 80-120 km/h

Here You can find my measure taken 2 years ago just after I have installed and initially programmed the GoTech Pro. Now I did it 13.17 but still on a moderate setup (so now maybe I'm close to the 3.2 sec marking I measured once with a GTech accelerometer). On this chart You can find 3.42 for 80-120...

Re: What Clarkson said about the gtv6...arrrgh.

By the way Jules had right. The trap speed at quarter mile relies about the HP/weight ratio You have. It doesn't really matter how good You start, it always runs on the same level with the same engine. Here are some results of mine. You can find runs here where I had gearbox problem, some where I ha...

Re: production facts

xrad,

Actually 22,381 unit were produced.
Unfortunately I don't find the sheet where I had the figures year by year. The 2 best years were 1981 and 1982. They made the half of the cars during these years. In 1986 only 829 have been finished if I remember correctly.

Re: Post some vids boys!!

Hey Fatcar what are the specs of your motor? It's a GTA 3.2 with AHM cams, and a bad exhaust, with a GoTech Pro (which is not tuned well yet). I think this config could do 13.0 with the right headers and settings. I just started to learn the ECU this autumn, so there is no magic yet. Even this is t...

Re: Post some vids boys!!

BTW do you know anyone with a modified 3.0 24V with high compression pistons and cams? Interested to know how much they put out. Zamani That E30 surely have ITBs :) You have good ears! ;) Right now I don't know really hard 3.0 BMW, but the season starts at the end of March, so I will ask some BMW-f...

Re: Post some vids boys!!

Did the yellow E30 have an S54 engine? Hi Zamani, No, it has a highly modified 24V 2.5 engine (M20B25). They spent the most money on the engine in my category. There are several cars running on S36 or S38 engines from the early 90s M5 (like in the white one), but this one is a nicely tuned 2.5 with...

Here's a link to the web version of a TV-show about the 70-80s Italian cars.
OK, most of You will not understand the speech ;), but there are some nice shots.

Re: What sort of Alfa cars we want

... Alfa needs to be an italian BMW - but cheaper please! It's a shame that now we are BMW-wannabes. There was a time when the others just dreamed about the technologies what Alfa already used on their production cars. But at the beginning of the 70s something has changed... and not in the good dir...

So finally I've got time to come here and write the number 8)

0 280 122 001

This is a potmeter type TPS from an Alfa 164 24V. I have this one on my GTA engine.

Sorry for the late.

Thanks, Jes. Looking at some other posts, I decided to source a 164 throttle body for which a common 3 pin sensor used on Volvo's and Saabs connects to. I found that on the megasquirt area of this site! I'll let everybody know how it goes. Right now on running on MAP but I want to explore! Thanks!!...
