Jes. I'll mail you one tomorrow, laptop is in garage with flat batt. are you getting one of greg gordons chargers?? I think that would work well on a 3.0 engine 12v or 3.0/3.2 24v. Just dont stick one on a track preped 3.45 or your 3.7. Too much stress for the main bearing caps - (in my opinion) the...

Jes

Fueling is easy! I was talking about a good ignition advance map.

Supercharger???? better get a rebuild before it goes on, or say bye bye to the big end bearings!

Jes what fuel do you run?? I have plenty of map you can try, road to full race! For full load at max torque rpm, around 4600/4700, i'd go with around 29-31 degrees advance, as the revs rise past this at full load you can advance a little more, as you've gone past peak cyl pressure. for 5000 to 6660 ...

Jes, yes you are correct - forgot you had a 75! But the gtv6 uses the early dizzy with mechanical&vaccuum advance, and they must be locked off! or changed to 75 dizzy. I assumed sam was doing the install on a gtv6? With the ign correction, in the software it's not clearly explained. Yes it does ...

Sam 100% there is mechanical advance!!!!!!!!! Have you read the instructions that came with the gotech?? Do you have an alfa workshop manual?? I'm amazed anyone would even try to play with programable engine management without even a basic understanding of how the factory ignition an...

Sam,

A silly question, but have you disabled/locked the mechanical advance on the dizzy, with either a nut and bolt through the base plates, or the base plates welded together??

Milanoguy, I would add that a dry sump will work very well on a racecar, but it's very impractical to use on a street car. Pump tanks, oil lines, plus the crankcase breather system, and catch tank will all have to move inside the car. Track and racecar prep - yes Streetcar - should not be in here :wi...

Milanoguy/JJ My setup is the same a Julian's, with cast sump from single seater modified to fit Alfa V6. The sump pan needs a small bit chopped out of the rear to clear the crossmember, but Glenwood would usually do this for you. I am going with a pump from Pace products in the UK - look at website ...

Sam, Fitting a aftermarket 60-2 ringwheel to the standard crank will have no effect on balance ( as JJ said), I miss understood your post, thinking you wanted to change the entire pulley for an Alfa 60-2 from 75 motronic 1991/2, or early 164. The counterweights on the inside of the factory 60-2 pull...

I have gone dry sump on my Rouse gtv6 I have pictures of the sump before a small clearence mod was made for the crossmember! Can increase power from reduced windage, but not much. main gain is more stable oil pressure in really long turns, the ability to set the oil pressure when the oil is up to te...

Hi Jes Why do you want to get rid of the dissy, and go to coil pack?? It's much easier to stay with the dissy on the early 75's. If you go to 60-2 wheel, you'll need to balance crank and flywheel with the new pulley. It will go out of balance if you just swap!!!!, the belts for the power steering an...

Now THATS a story Jim !

When I was over at Glenwood, Div used to have a few drums of 'special brew' hidden in the back of the shop - yes, special toluene mix for the race cars!

Did you fix the car?

how about 3.0L block with standard pistons, and refit 2.5 heads?? will the smaller cc head raise the CR enough??

Could lead to bad squish band area though? Barry any input!!
