This is very strange. After replacing the fuel pump, fuel filter and setting the CO on the car it was running brilliantly. Still didn't fix the high revs cutout but was purring like a bengal tiger. Up until 2 days ago. Now it is once again not idling nicely, is eating fuel and is struggling in the l...

I have found the problem.
The fuel pump is the culprit and is now being replaced. That should sort out my problem of high revs cutout.

Thanks

I dont think it is that. The car was fine until a few weeks ago. I will have a look though. It fires up and revs then just cuts out. Before i changed the AFM it was not picking up revs as it should.

Thanks for the reply.

I think it must be something else. It might be a fuel pressure problem. What are the possible locations of fuel pressure loss?

Fuel pump, fuel leak?

The board has been worn out alot and i went about finding a new AFM. I eventually found one that comes off a running GTV6 that is bein...

I suspect it might be the AFM which has been opened before. But I sealed it with silicone.

I am looking for a AFM at the moment and will check the coil connectors as you suggested.

Thanks

Misfire in wet conditions

Hi everyone, I have recently acquired and '82 GTV 6 in great condition. It goes wonderfully but have a problem when the car gets wet on rainy days. The engine misfires, quite badly and will then suddenly burst power to the wheels. Is this an electrical fault or fuel related? Would appreciate some he...
