http://www.unicorse.co.jp/new/product/images/exaust/ex156gta-fp.jpg Equal lenght of the secundairy pipes on a V6, does that make much sense? Do the cylinders fire in an order that the one can benefit from the flow from the other, or is that negletable for the shown secundairy pipelenghts? (With sho...

...The primary length is a function of rpm and exhaust valve opening (*BBDC). Theoretically, you can design your own system, but building it is a job for the very few who can. Looking at what you are able to advise us for a Nord-engine, what primary and secundairy length and ID do you recommend for...

I plan to rebuild the 166 3.0 engine before I put it in the 156 2.5. So I read this forum very carefully and have Jim's book on tuning the Twin-Cam engine under my pillow. The V6 24v has twin cams per bank, so Jim, when will your new book on "How to blueprint your Alfa V6 engine" appear? I...

I plan to fit a 3 litre Alfa 166 engine into an Alfa 156 SW (with stock 2.5).
I need to use the original plenum and the original Motronic ME 3.1 system. A similar drive-by-wire throttel-engine has to be used too.

The engine is the heart of an Alfa Romeo. So replacing it with whatever kind of other engine is simply a sign of totaly not understanding what Alfa Romeo is about. :x
Perhaps only a Ferrari engine is accaptable. He was an Alfa Romeo mechanic after all...

ITB in 156?

Ik heb een aantal tijdschriften Wiel, uit Zuid-Afrika en kan die best goed lezen. Erg leuk en baaie goed! Vooral spoedvaartstrik (ned: snelheidscontrole) heb ik onthouden! For the other people: We (Dutch and South-Afrikan) can understand oneanother quite well. Back to the question: does that nice pi...

Intake runners

Romeo, if you are asking about the 6 ITBs from Glenwood, then yes, that is a setup for the 24 Valve engines and they do fit them well,,, You can use stock injectors, but since this is mainly a setup for larger bore engines, consider the larger intake runners and modified 50mm GTV6/Milano/75 intake ...
