V6 12v Individual Throttle Body

Hey guys: What do you reckon about the feasibility of going ITB with my current GTV6 3.0 12V? I already have a Megasquirt installed so I daresay I can get the calibration correct, and a company in the UK called AHM sell a kit, which apparently has most of the bits needed to install this, so there wo...

Re: New GTV6 project, 1981 Rosso

I have had a few people ask me for an update on the project, its been literal years so I thought I'd make a YouTube video, rather than just post a bunch of pics.

Re: Hello from relocation to UK with my two South African GTV6's

Nice, a looks very familiar as I replaced all these parts on my '81 recently :)

One question on your 3.0 - what is the red stripe on the bumpers made from?

Re: alfagtv6.com moved to a new host

No worries, thanks Kevin! Zamani is really the one to be credited with the alfagtv6.com site still existing as he provided ample motivation for keeping it from retirement back in 2019. He is also the guy who devotes time to moderation and administration - the really time-consuming parts of managing ...

alfagtv6.com moved to a new host

The hosting company I used for many years started jacking up the rates a couple of years ago. You guys were generous enough to donate enough cash to cover the increased expenses so this site limped on for a few years. After another proposed rate increase in 2021 though, I decided to move the site to...

Re: New GTV6 project, 1981 Rosso

Thanks Kevin! How did you accomplish this so quickly? I'm guessing 3d scanning and a 3d printer? My employer has one of these printers available for experimentation and I've been meaning to play with it a bit 🙂
I'll send a PM.

Re: New GTV6 project, 1981 Rosso

Yes they are available. The car I bought had a broken standard front air dam and missing tea-tray so I wanted to buy fiberglass replacements from Bob at Alfa Panels in the UK. I noticed he also made a SA 3.0 spoiler and bonnet, easy choice for me :D . His panels look good, but plan to spend lots of ...

Re: New GTV6 project, 1981 Rosso

I made some improvements to the air intake system. Ignore the zip-ties, I have some proper stainless clamps on order :). I previously had a temporary configuration with a cone filter in the same location as the standard canister filter. I saw in the logs that the Intake Air Temp was usually 30 degre...

Re: New GTV6 project, 1981 Rosso

looking good Michael , when is the SA Bonnet going on ? :D Haha, soon :D . It just needs to be painted. I painted the spoiler myself and it looks pretty rough (bodywork not my forte) so I thought I'd get that bonnet panel professionally done. I have been pondering having it wrapped in black to see ...

Re: New GTV6 project, 1981 Rosso

I have spent lots of time on my engine management recently. To make sure the engine was running well, I installed an Innovate wideband Air/fuel ratio gauge and determined that my car was running lean at WOT - AFR somewhere near 13.9. To correct this I contacted Al Mitchel (on the AlfaBB) and he made...
