just went to the coker tire website. trx metric tire, 200hr365 is $294! Wow. Not even the VR version. And they suck. For a cheap solution get a set of the early gtv6 campagnolo wheels (stronger than the later ones, and light to boot). Even a real good tire like pilot exalto PE2 in 205-15 is not too ...

I've owned five v-6 alfas, they all show "0" on the gauge at hot idle, 55+ at higher RPM. If it bothers you then check it on a mechanical gauge. Replacing the sender is a waste of money.

ShOrtlife - just sent you a private message so we can take this off the thread. Z - thanks for the pricing information on extrude honing. Advantage of the cast iron is durability and the sound is good, not to mention that they are back on my car right now and I've pretty much spent my budget for thi...

I recall an earlier post where Greg suggested extrude honing and jet hot coating the stock manifolds. Any hp improvement estimate? I just threw out a set of poorly built ANSA headers after failing to get them to seal properly. Anybody who wants them can pay for the shipping from NJ, USA. Just have t...

That sounds right. The same mag did a piece on a GTV a few issues ago, the car was not original, think it had the 1600 replaced with a 1750 with 45's, modified suspension, later style cromadora wheels, non-stock paint color I think.

Eurotec Motors in Livingston NJ is a great shop. I've been a customer for 14 years. My 3.0 GTV6 is there right now getting some maintenance and modification. Call 973-992-2800, ask for Mario. Or let me know how to contact you if you want more information. Easy trip from New York. Nice Ronals, 15x7. ...

I agree about the grill, I used to have a 78 Alfetta and the grillwork was different than the 79 that my brother had (79 looked like the GTV6, I think). Right now I have a Lester front bumper, which was on the car when I bought it and I don't really like it.

Think I'll just use stock rods, clean'em up with a bit of sandpaper & call it a day, good for 156hp to 400+.

Yeah - I'm probably overthinking this one...if the tires are not great then just take them out for a few track sessions, tear them up and be justified in buying another set. Thanks for the assist.
