155 vs 75TS manifold

Mats,
I do understand no need for drawing .The 75 TS manifold ports are more perpendicular to the head and the 155 one have a steeper angle or a straighter entry with less bend at the valve itself. This is why they supposedly have better flow. Your pic is perfect for comparison.

Mats, The exploded view shows it clearly and the photo verifies the condition well. Look at exterior of head at bottom right, it has left over grease from the steam cleaning. I'm sure it's a very tired head but that's to be expected. I just got it, so no trouble to me at all and it was fairly cheap,...

Photos

Guys, Caveat emptor! and there are always 2 sides to the story. Maybe in the future prospective buyers should request photos of parts to be sent, good ones, close ups showing true condition especially parts that are likely to be rusted. Then both parties can be protected or at least have a common st...

155 coolant hoses and thermostat

Mats , I wrote: "Yes, the hole in the rear of head is where the thermostat assembly mounts, verified by the manual. Too bad it exits in the wrong direction to use on the 75TS motor as it sends the coolant to the exhaust side. All the 75TS setups... Correction 155 setups: ....I have seen have a ...

Good things come to those who wait.

Dennis, Great pics, looks like there is plenty of meat for further porting work. Even larger valves and seats? what's the max? The thinnest section appears at the cam follower (cup) bores where there is an additional cavity opening into the follower bore. What is that cavity? Is it an oil gallery to...

Mats,
Also, I was told 155 used ignition modules mounted remotely, this correct ? That's what I mean by all electronic, I think.
We seldom get to compare the European models, sorry for the trouble.

More TS75 /155 TS

Mats , you wrote:" As far as you know....." no quibble here. However, let me correct myself, I wrote : Right on about the exhaust cam driven distributor would be in the way when the normally sidewinder(transverse) 155 head is turned longitudingly. I meant that my 155 head has no provisions...

Mats , You're saying that all TS came with V V T, Thx. The 155 head is also a TS but how was V V T accomplished or was it done differently on the 155.? I will use an 8 wire distributor off the block. Right on about the exhaust cam driven distributor would be in the way when the normally sidewinder(t...

TS75 /TS155

I notice on a TS75 engine that there is variable valve timing device on front right camshaft? correct or not?. The 155 head is a much cleaner look for a TS conversion I want to do. On my 155 TS head this device V V T is not there. Why was it changed and/ or was the V V T not available on the 155?. D...

Misuse of refresh

Michael, I had a long winded topic written out on site issues, I lost my internet connection and when reconnected I went to "refresh" to reestablish my new topic's connection, it dumped it all. Therefore I will not try fix anything (there are needs) on this website as this seems to a probl...
