L-Jet boxes
I know this is not exactly helpful, but I am pretty sure that there are Audi and Volvo ECUs that mate to the GTV6 L-jet connector. I used an Audi one (I think) for my prototype L-Jet adapter, and it had a pretty cool brushed aluminum cover. I kind of troll E-Bay for ones with pictures that look righ...

ABS question
So this raises some questions on my part about ABS. I have never had the opportunity to drive a car with ABS on the track. Do you find that it is helpful with slowing the car in "threshold braking" kind of situations? The idea of holding the pedal firmly to the floor, vice modulating its f...

Gearbox
Merril, you should talk to Richard Jemison, since that is exactly what he does (mix Alfetta gears into GTV6/Milano boxes). I have a couple of really nice race gearboxes (a 4.10 and a 3.55), with close ratios.

Heck, even if your clutch isn't sticky, do some 3000 RPM take offs!

Clutch
Sounds like sticky clutch. The clutch pack will frequently "stick" together after sitting for a long time. I have found this on multiple Alfettas and GTV6's. Verify that the clutch arm is moving by feeling the rubber boot while someone steps on the clutch (or looking at it if your boot is ...

EP GTV6
It was great to hear about the race! Was Lisa driving? I have been running my GTV6 in EP for a couple of years now, and it is painfully obvious to me that the engine preparation rules are too restrictive. As a "limited prep" car, the rules were kept this way to keep from accidentally movin...

Fuel pump
By the way, if you are reading some kind of low voltage at the pump, 9 volts or less, the pump might be seized (I have had them do this before). It would be drawing current, but not turning.

fuel pump
Your fuel pump is either not working, or is not getting power. I do not recall the position of the fuse in relation to the combo relay, but I would check them all again-polish the connections, etc. You might want to visually examine the course of the fuel pump wiring (under the back seat, as I recal...

Believe me, I understand! Underhood space is always at a premium. All of this theory stuff is fun to talk about, though!

Flow
I think if you could make the ramp from the throttle body a little longer and more shallow it might help, if only because the first trumpet in line might suffer from the turbulent flow.
Have you seen this:

Diffuser
Just joshing about the variable length-it is still a pet project for me.
As long as we are talking about subsonic speeds (anybody jump in here please), I think the main thing is a gentle ramp angle exiting the throttlebody. I know there is math to determine the divergence angle of the diffuser.

Plenum
That looks really great-
Nice full radius on the trumpets, too.
The diffuser is important, since you want the airflow to smoothly attach.
But where are the sliding, variable length runners?-Ha ha!

GTV6
Hi-
I wish I could go, but I am pretty tied up for the next few weeks. I won't be able to go play until the end of the month!
Is Andrew going to be racing?
Thanks,
Al
