XRAD'S ALFETTA

Just got delivered today. Of course, snowing, icy and 10 degrees outside...battery dead. Jumped with some ether and she started right up. Some issues like small missing parts in the interior, box of goodies in trunk included gauge surrounds, plenty of little screws, and other items she shed over the...

I would think that you have to pull the head and really clean everything out to be sure.

LSD?

I did a burnout in my driveway today and it left two heavy 6 foot burnout stripes, one for each rear wheel... 1) Is this normal for a non-lsd? I do not know what is in the car but it has the newer iso linkage. 2) found out why my 2.5 is such a strong engine with a somewhat lumpy idle around 800rpm.....

Re: LSD clutch disc

OKP for shims only. I don;t remember exact price but about 25-30$ each...but their service was EXCELLENT!! to my door in less than a week (and that is overseas shipping!)

Friction discs from Dean Russell at no significant savings.

Re: worn cam, clatter

exhaust lifter has a wear mark on the side.....maybe loose in the lifter bore? I would have to think a bad cast or hardening on the cam as the two lobes are right next to each other...odd... Do an oil change too... and of course check the cam bore for wear also.. Wait, I just thought of something......

Re: worn cam, clatter

worn through the hardened surface. Why? dirt, poor manufacture, poor oiling,, who knows. Just dont keep running it. bet the lifter is shot as well. do a compression test on all cylinders. Check your spark plugs for fouling (especially #6) and do an injector test (have them cleaned) This way in case ...

Re: New to Alfas and GTV6's

yep, want to check that before you remove it...... I forget, I can look at my spare when I get a chance but it's not local. One thing I like to do is to ployurethane(black flex type found at home repair stores) the gap in this support. really keeps it from sagging. takes a few days to really dry, an...

Thanks, friend down under! I was hoping they were nearly identical engines. Tons of spider spares here in US.
