Why is it inconsistent? "06/22/1994 81,905" followed a bit down by "06/29/2002 69,718" Couldn't 69,718 really be 1 69,718? That would be 87,813 miles in 8 years or about 11,000 miles per year, not an unreasonable figure. So I ask the question, what wear items are the easiest way ...

Greg: A few random questions that come to mind. These are questions a reader might ask themselves. You can answer here or just take them under consideration. 1) Is there an effect of the phase change of the water, i.e. from liquid droplets in an aerosol to a true gas? Is there a bit of steam-engine ...

Seems clear to me. One question: why in the last graph do they use 30/70 for methanol but 20/80 for ethanol? Why not the same values for both? Since ethanol is more hydrocarbon-like than methanol (having an additional CH2 group) shouldn't you use more water, say 40/60 water/ethanol? On the other han...

1) Clean all electrical contacts, especially grounds.
2) Check voltage coming out of alternator, install new higher voltage regulator to overcome resistance of 20 year old electrical system.
3) Use Rain-X on the winshield to lower friction.
4) Drive only when sunny ( )

The big problem with all composites is detection of imminent failure whether it be chronic (fatigue) or acute (catastrophic). The US military has done most of the work in this area. It looks as if the commercial side and the FAA are satisfied that sub-par components can be detected and removed from ...

From the old GTV6.org site, showing that everything old is new again: By Tim on Sunday, May 18, 2003 - 11:08 pm: This is a very interesting thread regarding the mysterious warm engine knock that seems to be common for the Alfa V-6. I don't believe this knock is always lower-end related as some sugge...

Porsche transaxle cars

Acording to this web page: http://vista.pca.org/az/motor_pool/articles2.htm What Surace says about Porsche trying (and then rejecting) a rear mounted clutch on the 924 is true. Quote: "As the design [of the 924] solidified around the two main drivers--use of VW based components and unification ...

He does say that the R&D group were one of the the last to leave Portello. Perhaps there was a little "deferred maintenance" seeing as they were getting new digs in Arese?

Also, note the front mounted clutch in the top picture.
