By the way, Alfa can give you the best info with the chassis number (which is how they really kept records).

Stiff Steering

Over the last 500 miles the steering on my '84 GTV6 has stiffened up noticeably. It still gives an immediate response to turns of the wheel but the stiffness is great enough that the wheels do not self-align when driving straight (i.e., I have to turn the steering wheel back to go straight).
