There apparently was an Alfetta GTAm, see the following thread on the AlfaBB:

http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/showthread.php?t=605&

(Skip to the bottom of the thread, skip over the misdirected talk about the Bertone 105-series GTAm.)

I had them lighten the gears in my '84 GTV6 a few months ago. A local shop removed the gears and I sent them to Performatek. Andy (who runs Performatek) was very knowledgeable and very helpful. I would not hesitate to do business with him again. :D

:D Thanks Billy. I like the idea of adding a seperate plate to the console to hold the switches. I will either add two switches without toggles or I will get a seperate toggle-only switch and wire it into the circuit to use with my existing joy-stick switch.

:?: MD: So why did diesel replace steam in the 1940s and 50s for locomotive engines? Certainly railroads have every incentive to save on fuel costs. Are modern steam engines built and used in any capacity anywhere in the world? Seems as if the technology is all but been forgotten. Just wondering...

Greetings Billy, and welcome aboard! :D One small question: I notice in your center console near the brake lever you have two switches. I assume they are for the power mirrors, but why two? In the US there is only one switch with a ring around it to toggle between the left and right mirrors. I ask b...

I do appreciate the history discussions on AlfaBB.com, but I don't think they need to be replicated here. History discussions fit well with the whole Alfa mystique. To discuss the technology of cars dating back to WWI is rather unique. Try finding that on any other auto board! Two threads that might...

Nice post MD.

Make no mistake I love AlfaGTV6.com (gtv6.org was one of the reasons I got mine). But since this is a highly technical forum it will never have very high traffic.

This board is very intimidating to the uninitiated. It is one of the most technically intense auto boards out there. Many frequent posters may not appreciate this. After 3 years of GTV6 ownership and being an avid Alfagtv6.com reader I still find that I will only ask a question if I have done my hom...

There are alot of Subarus' and VWs' racing. Not many Alfas'. The first question is WHY? What can I say to that? I still have not found the perfect response. Perfect response: "Because there are a lot of Subarus and VWs racing" If you are an Alfa guy chances are you took the road less trav...

Two ideas: 1) In my browsing the web I notice a lot of broken links pointing to the old address. I have not e-mailed any webmasters figuring it was out of line for me (a humble user) to do so. Perhaps a collective campaign to correct these links would be in order. 2) A lot of traffic is generated by...
