welding engine compartment seams

Has anybody welded their engine compartment seams? I have been advised that the job should be done with the chassis "under load." I assume that this means that the weight of the engine should be applied during the welding. I have also been advised that normal arc welding is not sufficient ...

coil over options

What are the options for front coil over conversions. I know that people really like the RSR kit, but I am starting to think about being rid of the torsion bars in order to achieve greater simplicity. Please feel free to tell me if you think this is a bad idea. I know that there are problems with fr...

larger 3.0l valves?

As persons who read this board are aware, I like to start newbie threads. Here is another one: I am starting to think about my heads. I know very little about heads other than what I have read on Greg Gordon´s site (countless times). When heads are rebuilt, the machinist can remove material, potenti...

My verde has 24mm in front and 21mm in back. I believe that verdes are equiped with 21, 22, or 23mm bars in back. Not sure which is most common.

mcandiago, Great thread! I just thought that I would drop one alternative to the Dakota unit that I had been thinking about before I was aware of the Dakota: MegaSquirt. A person would have to program it themselves, of course, but a person who uses megasquirt already might be up to the task. Some me...

Brian-My opinion is that the photoshop version is hot hot hot. Mats, I respect how stubborn you are in your opposition to the kit being used in a non factory utilized configuration, but if the factory had done this what would you be saying :?: 20 years later this hobby is partly about building a car...

75 roll cage

I found a person to help me make a roll cage for my car. I am wondering if anybody has links to photos of existing cages already installed in cars?
