I dont see how it could hurt. that shaft spins really fast even if your car doesnt have big hp. 100rps is serious inertia and those donuts are not free. Even if it increases the lifespan of the donut only a little it should be worth installing this innexpensive piece. That is how I am looking at it....

Pancho- Not to come across rude, but where were your words before I did the lightening? I looked for a horror story but found none. Now, that said, I and I am sure everybody else would like to know more about the broken gear. What gear was it that failed? What was the nature of the failure? Did the ...

JJ I talked to my machinist today and arrived at a small dilema: what hardness/thickness of steel is needed to optimize this modification? If the steel is too soft or too thin, the holes for the bolts will become ovaled in time, right? Your photo shows steel that looks fairly thin, but what do I kno...

Joe-

Thanks for the reply and the advice...
I am sure you get this all the time, but yours has to be one of the cleanest verdes around. Amazing interior and engine compartment.
Is it original? (save for wheels, battery, and euro grille)

I too have reservations about the amount of material that has been removed. What can you tell me about the cars that had problems? Were they big hp machines? When they went did they take the whole box down with the ship due to shrapnel inside with the moving pieces?

thanks JJ,
I will try to get one or my own in my car since I am replacing my donuts right now anyway. Looks like a great low tech improvement that I wouldnt have thought of on my own.

Ok, last post I said I want a ¨race¨system...not exactly. I dont want a peaky system. Dennis-thanks for the file. Just the type of information I need. I only question the fact that the drawing seems to be designed for a stock 3.0. Also, on the other thread, Jim made some statements that lead me to b...

I have now finished with the wheels. I had the dings repaired and now they are painted. They are 15/7/et38. I painted them a little differently than they had been painted originally (all silver). I am very excited about the prospect of mounting up some nice wide rubber and going around corners extra...

One day while I was towing my red milano through missouri, a car pulled up beside the truck and began giving entusiastic thumbs up. He then proceeded to speed off. A few minutes later, he was back on the passenger side of the truck, he wanted me to roll my window down. He shouted ¨Hey, I have some m...
