Water Pumps

Does anyone know if the 164 3.0 24v water pump is the same as a 164 12v one, or maybe the same as a 156 2.5 24v or 166/GTV V6 3.0 24v one?
I seem to be having trouble tracking one down in Australia.
Thanks.

It was a long time ago but I think I aimed at a static compression of 10.0:1.
I found some early calcs and I think the chamber volume is around 52cc standard and about 46cc afterwards.

Any live axle setup has the problem of torque reaction - the torque reaction is taken into the suspension and one side squats while the other lifts. With the Dedion setup the torque reaction is taken from the transaxle mounts straight into the chasis.

I took 1mm off my old 2.5 heads and liked the result.
Seemed to give a good torque boost - seat of the pants dyno.

Exactly what I am doing - spare wheel well removed and flat boot floor to fit a full twin system.
You need to put the x pipe in the right spot though and I haven't even calculated primary lengths yet.

I have heard from a very knowledgable alfa man (he races them and has for years) that 300 lbft is the limit for absolute reliability. From there it depends on how you treat it. His opinion was that you could shift a transaxle as fast as you like as long as it had good oil in it and was well warmed u...

I had a problem with the booster in mine just after installing my 4 spot brakes - the booster diaphram split when I was bleeding them. I drove for a week or so without the booster and the pedal effort increase was HUGE ! Use an alfetta booster and it will all fit or use a twin master cylinder setup ...

My old stock Alfetta motor seemed happy at 7.5k fairly often - it actually went well over 8k on occasion.
Car was eventually retired at 360 000 km due to rust but the motor lives on in another car, yet unopened !!
It did get good quality oil every 5000km as well as filters etc.

I've done a few things to make mine shift better. http://alfagtv6.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=1302&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15&sid=56ed856225a1a4943c7230cb97a4255b I moved the shifter mount up so the pivot point would be higher. I pressed the pivot ball up the stick so the bush at t...

The speedo is "driven" (gear or pulse) by the output shaft. If your GTV6 had a gear driven pulse setup (veglia?) then it won't interchange with the Milano/75 pulse setup (Jaeger?). You'll have to adapt it using a pulse modifier - there are a few threads covering these. If you want to keep ...

They are pretty simple, you take the thin plastic edge seal out and then the coloured steel panel unclips and comes out leaving the mirror, frame and workings intact. You have to squeeze the edes of the panel in to unclip it. I think mine were a little stuck, so I pryed them a little with a small sc...

Any of the Pirtek / Aeroquip / Ryco hydraulics place will have them.
Not sure of the 1/4" NPT x 1/2" barb but you should be able to get something.
