Yes, flyback is integrated into MSII. I ran my MS-I with 6 low impedence injectors with no flyback board for quite some time. My Spider did not fair so well with 4 low impedence injectors. I fried 2 sets of output transistors. You will find with an ohm meter that the V6 injectors are about 3.2 ohms ...

Well not quite... The EDIS system uses a specific 36-1 inductive pattern for the EDIS module itself. The EDIS and Motronic crank angle sensor are 2 totally different systems. The Motronic 60-2 wheel can be mounted to the 3.0. You will see the tabs for the sensor on all 3.0 blocks, not just the 164. ...

Regarding retaining the CSI: Remember the MS has 2 settings. A priming pulse and a cranking pulse. The CSI sort of does both on the L-jet with the thermo time switch. The priming pulse is a fixed pulse when power is applied to the MS. The cranking pulse is temperature variable during cranking which ...

I'm back!!
I see so many of you up and running with MS. Kevin Redden and Kevin Oliver, I hope were inspired by the tech session I did at their convention a few years ago. The Milano is still running well. It's apart for a belt change and cam clearance right now but should be back on the road by the end of the ...

I don't know what it's worth Peter, but you can find my latest msq file here: http://bmacfarl.fastmail.fm/alfa/megasquirt%20May%2012%202006%20b.msq Were you looking for an msq file? Good luck. Bill Hi Bill, What I needed was the msns-extra.ini...

Hi Peter. Sorry about your truck and laptop, that sucks. I don't even know what an Extra024 is but hopefully someone will help out. How is the Megasquirt Milano doing? Hi Greg, Well, that's kinda why I needed the 024s. The Verde hadn't run since last fall. I was messing around with the cams and sof...

Anyone have an Extra024s bundle?
Had a little problem with the laptop. Basically it melted when my truck caught fire last week. What's worse is I had my data backup in the bag too. See pictures at http://www.flickr.com/photos/denovich/sets/72157594148080164/ Anyway, I recovered a version of Megatune but I lost all my msns-extra024s...

Howdy all. I've been watching the progress here for some time. I've sent a few of you PMs about issues you've been having. I'm really glad to see how you've all been supporting each other with the MS installs and many of you have taken on the MSII and V3 boards. Good stuff. That's what it's all abou...

That is a 60-2 wheel. It is used for crank angle only instead of the Hall sensor. Just 2 different ways to skin the cat. Both use a Motronic ignitor as found on the 164 to set advance. They have a fixed dwell. Not sure if MS-II has the custom teeth feature. MSnS-Extra code V0.24s and above has it. Y...

Mats is correct. The path of least resistance is to have a machine shop make a wheel that will fit the pulley. It needs to be 34 equal spaces and 1 double space. Don't forget to follow the directions EXACTLY when fitting the pulley. The missing tooth is 60 deg after the sensor at TDC. You can put th...

The controller controls and calibrates to the sensor. The output from the controller goes to the MS. MS recieves 0-5v when switched to UEGO mode. Then you can do target-AFR tuning. MS has nothing to do with the sensor or controller. It only gets the AFR voltage. Depends on whether you're using the L...
