Michael, The engine speed spikes are due to R10 being too small. The 370ohm isn't big enough for our high-energy ignitions. Change it out to 2.2k ohms and install the wing diode (D5) and all should be well. If you still get some occasional spikes increase R10 to 3.3kohm. Check the temperature of R10...

I saw you posted the CPU was dead on the other thread. Did you try flashing it or at least getting it into the bootloader? Connect your serial cable and open a hyperterminal session using the com port (probably com 1), 9600, N 8 1. Put the boot jumper in place and power up using the stim. You should...

Michael, I think that's an error in the diagram. L-Jet 28 is switched 12V and that's what I used on mine. Go ahead and use that to MS pin 28. On the grounds, you have that backwards. L-Jet pins 16,17 and 35 should go to the common gound plane on the MS (1-19). Pin 10 is switched 12V to the injectors...

I looked up the flow rates on Gregs site. The S-2 L-Jet injectors come out at 23.8 lb/hr or about 240cm/3. Inputting the following into the req_fuel calculator: 3000 cc 6 cylinders 23.8 lb/hr 13.1 AFR Yeilds 15.1 req_fuel Ok while that's all well and good, the VE table has a lot do with what the ult...

How did the box die? How are you testing it on the Stim? Are you using the pigtail with the LMB box? If you want post your questions here I can take a shot at it. Do you get any LEDs at boot? Do you get no power at all? Check the voltage regulator U5. If you get LEDs and no signals on the stim see i...

Bill, Congratulations and great job. You'll have a lot of fun tuning. Feel free to email me your MSQ file and any datalogs if you need some help. And while we're at it, lets post our success stories here in this thread too. That way new people can see how many cars we actually have running on MS. I'll go first: Name: Peter Webb Location: Chicago, IL USA Car: 1987 Alfa Romeo 75/Milano 3.0QV Specs: 3.0 engine, stock bottom end, stock valves, po...

I hear the Fialfas are lacking in quality. The Selespeeds are breaking down constantly. In the US market, Audi were embroiled in an unintended acceleration lawsuit in which people claimed wrongful death. A few transmissions can't be as hard as that to overcome. Yet Audi are now a big seller here. Ja...

Bill, Follow this link: http://megasquirt.sourceforge.net/msns-extra/setup-msns.html You use the existing Hall sensor in the Milano distributor and the ignitor shown in the diagram. It replaces the CDI ignitor (amplified) under the coil. You can get one from a 164. The CDI module is on the passenger...

I know some people here in Sweden who can make them, but no source on Your side of the water... I guess that´s whats interesting? Seb I'd already resolved myself to getting them from Europe. There aren't enough cars left here to warrant making the molds. If you get some made let me know, we can wor...

Success Stories
A sticky reminder:
If you have a running car, or if you get one running PLEASE post yourself to www.msefi.com under success stories. Lance gave us an Alfa section there.
I'm so tired of hearing about Toyotas and RX7s. Lets outnumber that Japanese crap with fine Italian machinery.
