With the -E code, you can run target-AFR. You put the lamda number in at the specified load/speed. See screen cap from MT225 below. You need to set sensor type to WB02 and use the WB02 output on the controller. You can use the NB02 output for an AFR gauge on the dash. Very simple stuff. Remember WB0...

I have an aftermarket programmable. Escapes the rev limit and totally tunable. Finally got an ok idle @ 900rpm. I can work the fueling to get through an emissions test I hope. Maybe you could consider an aftermarket instead of swapping the cams. The speed/density system I use does away with the AFM ...

Those are some pretty good numbers for a stock 2.5. My car isn't exactly stock :) http://home.comcast.net/~webb.p/install I was more curious about the trouser-seat dyno differences in the 'S' vs. the Shankles. The Shankle is a semi-race cam that makes great power but has some unpleasant side effects...

The 164S cams should pass emissions no problem. Do you have the AL6216 cams? I'm running them too. Nasty idle. Before the programmable I couldn't get them to idle under 1200rpm on the L-Jet. My test is due in April so I'll lean it out and hope for the best. I have a set of 'S' cams on the way just i...

Well described Peter. I connected the correct ljet pins to the ecu case as a "ground".. then connected the correct MS "ground" pins to the case too. Then when you bolt the ECU case to the car... it grounds it all too ! No problems with dodgy grounds any more. Like this? (my in-b...

It's my humble prediction that Fiat will die out from under Alfa for financial reasons and Alfa will be brought under the Ferrari/Maserati umbrella. Poor Lancia will suffer and perish though. I was watching the Geneva Auto Show coverage on Speed the other day. The FIAT group cars were all together w...

Peter, Oh... you mean ALFA era like in the twenties right? (grin) -or- Just when did they STOP being Alfas...? I seem to recall the same comments from 105/115 owners about those 116 cars. Come on man... at least drive one before writting them off! I would put an Autodelta 156 3.7 GTA in my garage a...

Alfa is everything I would want it to be today (except that they are fwd and NOT sold in the US)... they are more reliable, have that distinctive Italian design and are more powerful today than ever. I keep hoping the Ferrari/Maserati stores become Ferrari/Maserati and Alfa! (although I am not hold...

Didn't mean to lay blame where it isn't deserved. You're right, the Fiat management (or lack thereof) owns this one. I typed in a long response earlier today but no one wants to hear me rabbit on about how Fiat sucks. Alfa Romeo is dead. We'll never again see the likes of Jano, Sata or Fusi. And it...

Re: Photo of alternate fuel pump circuit

Hey everyone, I followed Steve R.'s instructions for the alternate fuel pump circuit. Here's a photo - thought it might help somebody else. Hi Bill: Can you post a pic of the reverse side (want to double check how I installed the 1N4001 Diode on the bottom of PCB)? This pic you posted has been very...

The L-Jet is grounded individually. The grounds on the DB37 are all connected to the ground plane. The top row, pin 1-19 are all grounds. You can use any of them for a ground connection. The L-Jet is grounded on it's connections on pins 16, 17 and 35 that should wire to 1-19. That's besides the sens...

I meant that the 164 is a Fiat car even though it's badged an Alfa Romeo. I'm just voicing my cynisism for the Fiat handling of Alfa Romeo after the purchase. IMO, they lost the passion. The 75 is the last REAL Alfa that feels like an Alfa. The rest is Fiat mass-production. It might as well be a For...
