Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)

I had a water pump alternator belt snap. At the time time the car had no instruments so I didn't know until I smelt the burning antifreeze. Car overheated bad (V6 2.5L) but after it cooled down and a coolant refill all was good. Five years later it's still running on those head gaskets. The buzzer a...

Re: 24v swap missing info

Well that's a lot of questions, but here's a few thoughts. I don't think a plenum can ever be too big. I'd look inside a SPICA airbox for overall guidance. Here's a link to a custom plenum made for a car engine that was modified for use in a homebuilt airplane. http://www.sdsefi.com/techinta.htm Her...

Re: De Dion cross member bolts

Hey

Is that car an Alfetta ( meaning 4 cylinder)? I notice the deDion tube is bolted right to the body. On a GTV6 or a Milano there are spacers between the crossmember and the body.

Well you can move it, but you definitely need to keep it, or something like it. The gasoline in the fuel tank turns into gasoline vapor depending on how hot it is, how full the tank is, and so on. The liquid/vapor seperator collects the vapour and returns the liquid to the gas tank. If you simply de...

Hi

Nope, leaving aside the fact that the fuel filler is on the wrong side, the fuel in and fuel out lines are on different sides in the Milano and the GTV6.

Bring Back the "Posts in the last 24 hours feature"

Hi What happemed to one of my favorite features, the [view all posts in the las 24 or 48 hours] option. Hi

Try braking in reverse on a level road. It may be that the steep angle of your driveway is tilting your brake master cylinder resvouir and preventing fluid from entering the brake system.

Zambon If you have the proper roll pin removing punch, and the roll pins still won’t come out; well the sad news is that, they are most likely rusted and seized in place, and are not going to come out without a drill or something similar. Some years ago I dismantled a Verde from the rustbelt. Everyt...

Wilwood Rear Brakes with a REAL parking brake?

Wilwood Parking Brakes on an Alfa transaxle. The rear brake calipers are a weak point of the Alfa transaxle, They are difficult to work on or adjust, and are unreliable to boot. It is the mechanical parking brake function of the caliper that makes them unreliable and prone to sticking and seizing.. ...

Hi I have spoken to a few dry sump companies here in the USA, all of them were very unhelpful. They did say that I should try and find out from the engine manufacturer the flow rate in gallons/hours of the stock oil pump and from that they could tell me which one of their pumps would be a good fit, ...

Hi Alex To remove the motor, you have to remove the brake booster, which is a total pain, as you have to work underneath and inside the dash. The cylinder head studs in the block aren't designed to be removed so leave them alone. I don't think the small cam mistiming is what killed the motor, nor do...

Hi Alex

Sorry about your loss. Can you tell us what the motor was doing before the piston failure? High RPM, low RPM, driving level or uphill?

Also what does the #4 injector look like?
