Re: Help needed on putting the trans case to the

***SOLVED*** I looked again at this and found the problem: The fork for the 5th/reverse was not well fitted in the synchro sleeve....the reverse gear was well in the fork. Maybe I did not play attention anymore on this on closing the case as I was working late at night, I wanted to finish. So my fau...

Re: GTV6 / 75 gearbox mounts

Hi all, I just wanted to know the right height of the front transaxle mounts? I had vibrations on my newly acquired '83 gtv6 and saw that the mounts had the plates on: I took 'em off and the vibs still were there as before (driveshaft was balanced before). Some dealers (in europe) seam to do their o...

Re: Idle Irregularities

Hi, it has been pretty long time since my last post for this problem. Since then i have done a lot of work (and miles driving my gtv6) without finding the problem. Situation is still nearly the same, the engine is running very smooth above idle, but the idle is not that what I know from my 2 former ...

Re: rubber donut for idle

Hi all, does anyone have the thickness and the exact size of this donut? Mine has already shrinked and it is difficult to see the right size. I already tried a few ones, but none of them worked well, idle was always difficult to set. Or does one know where to get them? (other than international-auto...

Hi all, does someone have heard about a solution on mmelton's problem? I'm experiencing the same problem as him: Cold start okay, running bad after approx. 1 minute, and the idle is going up as it is getting warmer...especially in the city when the heat is not very well evacuated, the idle is going ...

Was in Brescia, italy, last week for the start of the MilleMiglia with my gtv6. The problem i have now with the clutch is this one: - pushing slowly on the clucth-pe...

I get a noise from the gearbox that seems that the gear wheels are turning at low speed so it makes the noise by selecting the reverse.. I still did bleed of the system...no change...can I adjust ...

Where are these balancing marks, are they on the flywheel/clutch/driveshaft ??? The clutch was replaced by an Alfa Romeo specialist...but because we have the same effect on 2 different cars, I think there is a problem with the re-mounting of the clutch/flywheel/driveshaft...maybe he didn't take care...

Vibrations in driveline gtv6

Hi all, a friend of mine has changed the clutch on his 1987 gtv6, which ran without any vibrations before. Now after the clutch is changed, there are vibrations in the driveshaft upon 2500rpm. I had the same problem before, but we changed the clutch 2 times, and now the vibrations are gone !!! :idea...
