Mats,

MSD makes a Tach Adapter to solve your tachometer woes. I had the same problem with the signal from the TEC and the MSD adapter solved it. I think it was US$40.

Greg, You are right, we did not see the RB25 or 26 family here is the states. The Z cars here used the VG30 DETT engine. As far as the Toyota v Nissan motor... you will get camps arguing for each. Both, in my opinion, are very well engineered and robustly designed for a street motor. Here is more in...

Italian Translator

All; I am looking for someone who is fluent in Italian (written and spoken) and would be willing to help on a small project. I have a recording of several Alfa Romeo's being started and run (6C 1750 SS, RL, P2, Tipo 159 and others) narrated in Italian. I would like to get this translated to english ...

Barry, No, I haven't. A static compression ratio of 7.8:1 yields and effective static compression ratio of 11.3:1 @ 15psi. Here in States the best pump gas available is 94 octane from Sunoco (RON+MON/2). Unleaded fuels of 100 ocatane and higher are available but not as easy as going to the corner fi...

Nvenuto,

I agree with Mats... while it could be done... I am not sure I would want it when it was.

By no means do I want to take any wind from your sails... best of luck to you. Knowing you options before you start is a good approach.

Barry,

The pistons are from Mahle; forged 7.8:1 ceramic coated. No secret.

Barry, Yes, that is the "new" Bonneville engine. They fried the clutch when dyno testing it (without time to for repair) so they were unable to run it this year. They did run the car in another class with a n/a TS motor and set a new record in that class. Their goal though is to have the o...

Mats, I didn't, I had to lean it out a bit with the bigger injectors because it was too rich. Like I said earlier... old injectors but new exhaust header yielded 234whp @ 10psi or 283whp @ 15 psi. I have not dyno'd the car with the new injectors and remapped VE table. You can feel more power but jus...

Mats, 69lb/hr = 720cc/min 50lb/hr = 503cc/min 100% duty cycle @ 43.5 psi (cc/min / 10.5 ~= lb/hr) (for gasoline... of course) I was seeing duty cycles over 100% with AFR's in the 11's at 15psi. With the 720cc/min injectors it's around 75-80%. Even with the big injectors the car idles just fine, min....

Barry, I think you are right to leave well enough alone. although I may look at a bb turbo in the future. From what I undestand one could see a 15% quicker spool up time. Do you have any experience here? "real speed"... lol! You gotta love people! The supercharger did not work out. To get ...

Adam,

Yes, you can remove the carpet without removing the heater core. Generally the carpet is split behind/under the radio/heater core area. Perhaps there is a screw or glue holding the carpet in place?
