Head siezed.

Any one got an idea as to remove a siezed head of the studs? This boy is locked on good and tight! Tried double locknut on the stud and tried turning it to break the seal to no avail. Got some special penetrating liquid on the studs now. Hope it will seep in over night. Bit weary of heat. Any simple...

Quick update Karl. Put a couple of orders through to IAP now and its taken 5 days each time. The frieght cost can be a mbit on the costly side tough. It seems the more you get [up to a certain size or weight maybe] the cheaper it is. Like $50 U.S.D. to ship out a small package with dizzy cap and rot...

Simmons.

Gonna get some Simmons wheels sorted for my 86/87? Just need to know what you guys reckon would be the best dimensions for offset? Like you can have them custom made front and rear. Looks like to me that the rear offset could be a bit less to fill out the guards a little. The front slightly set inbo...

I've just replaced the water pump on mine and now with the extra pressure has started to leak coolant out of both heads. Spotted it sitting in the engine mounts. So gonna pull the heads and replace the head gaskets. I think that was the reason also for the engine running quite roughly. Water getting...

From what I read here and on other sites, its seems to be a 50/50 call on the hydraulic vs mech tensioner. So since my hyd tensioner is clean and leak free I'm gonna stick with it. For now at least. For any one looking at doing the conversion check this:http://www.alfacentro.com/tech/tensioner/index...

Hi Chaps. Just wanting to know to block off the oil supply for the hydraulic tensioner? Got a mechanical jobby from IAP. There does not seem to be any provision for blocking the feed tho. Thanx Tim. :?:

Went down to the local Repco store {like small town parts mart} today and checked to see if they had a distributer cap or rotor in stock. UMMMM no sir sorry but we can get you a distributer cap in a week or so.... $65.00. The rotor would be $95.00 if they could get one. WHAT??? So home I go crank up...

Just one more thing: it started idling roughly about four or five days ago before I installed intake kit and vacuum hoses. Also inspected the o-ring in the plenum and spun it round so the indented surface is facing the other way. What does the limp home mode entail?as what happens? Wondering if its ...

Running on 3?

Hey guys your probably sick of explaining the same old things, but I seem to be having trouble with the 86 gtv6 running on just 3/4 clyinders. Have just installed the Greg Gordon intake kit and new vacuum hoses. Had to twist the afm 90 degrees to fit it in between the distributer. Will this make any...
