Re: Hello from relocation to UK with my two South African GTV6's

A short unknown poem about Kevin..

Young Kevin drinks and smokes
and hangs around with blokes that wear pink laces..

I told you it was short. :D

Re: New book?

Interesting story Jim. I am sure we all got one. Mine is a little different and I didn't even get to enjoy the music. I got let down by the Alfa bean counters who decided that installing a key way to lock up the bottom sprocket that drives the camshafts chain was too expensive.(8 valve twin spark en...

Re: help to identify wires

Tim, Maybe I should rephrase what I have said before. I REPEAT. If it isn't broken, don't fix it. The arrangement could already be a fix it for the original problem. DO this:- 1 take small wire off solenoid. 2 fit this wire to the trigger side of your new relay 3 get 12v power to new relay from the s...

Re: help to identify wires

Hi Tim, If all is working it may be safer to leave well alone as is where is. If you want to install an ignition relay, it may be wiser to use the solenoid connection from the ignition switch and connect that to trip a relay. This relay should then deliver power to the solenoid where your trigger wi...

Re: New book?

Cut it out JK. All this love talk is making me embarrassed.

Do something useful and give us an overview of what the book covers and tel us what page number Raquel lives in and does it come in braille.

Re: New book?

Hey good buddy start looking for lots of new friends with hands and feet. With all the Moulla that's about to come rolling and you having flunked grade 3 arithmetic , you are going to run out of fingers and toes to count it all by yourself. I wouldn't suggest looking in Iraq or Afghanistan cause not...

Re: New book?

Hi Jim, The readers are just going to have to do with a few less cattle prodding funny insults so this topic can get back on track which it deserves. Well done my friend to once more dig deep and share what you and others know about Alfa Romeo engines. Unlike your wonderful Greek olives, this stuff ...

Like I said, the car is on the trailer and taking complete system photos is near impossible. The inboard rotors are just for a hydraulic handbrake.

Re: New book?

Hey Greaser, good to see you have put that birdbrain of yours to more constructive use. Much better than your recent pastime of flicking through Peanuts Comics looking for a centrefold on Lucy. BTW, you're not getting a look-in on my copy. I am willing to part with a shiny 20 cents worth but I insis...

Re: 3” exhaust

Mate, looks to me like you have taken the python off the Alfa emblem, magnified it and sprayed it with a stainless new paint coat. A feat only accomplished by a select few. The gong award is coming soon. Look for it in your letterbox. It will accompanied by a parcel containing an Indiana Jones safet...

Re: 3” exhaust

All good. Understood. The issues I referred to earlier are:- The tyre well has to be cut out. The fuel tank needs to go into the trunk (boot) like the GTV6. That provides the flat area to install a pile of stuff. So if you are not contemplating doing that anytime soon, I wont bother with the photos ...

Re: 3” exhaust

Hey Good Buddy, Now if you went by the name of the Greekster, my suggestion for you would be to get some string and a three inch steel ball. Attach the string to the ball with some super glue. Use the string to pull the ball through your present system that will act like a reamer and expand it to 3 ...

Great job Mike.
I think the Greekster could do with his nuts being dipped and platted...lot of salt water around the Greek Islands causing all kinds of rust problems.

Mind you, I don't think he would go quietly. Might need a few bods to hold him down for his own good.

Re: Fitting an electrical brake vacuum pump

An interesting proposition. Zamani experimenting with vacuum pumps... The reality is that the brake booster is just a convenience. It is not an essential item in the brake circuit. The fix is removing the booster and all the paraphernalia that makes it work and replacing it with an appropriate brake...
