I remember watching Alfa Heaven's GTV6 at the St. Paul Winter Carnival ice races. It did OK.

I hope your not driving your GTV6 in the snow. Mine is in storage for winter. The body would not last long with the moisture and salt.

Yes there is a clip on the back of the box. I was in the process of removing the whole dash when I took mine out so it was easy. I don't know how to get to it otherwise.

Make sure you really torque hard on the pinch bolt. I chased a front end driveshaft rattle for long time before being told to try it. Took care of it immediately.

I installed a dash cap on my '83 and it turned out great. Of course, I did have my dash out of the car so I was able to clamp all the way around with ~20 clamps. The more clamps the better.

Doesn't fit? I assume we are talking about the window wipes. My experience with the Re-Originals profile is that it is the correct profile but that it just does not have the flocking on the surface that contacts the glass. It fit perfect on my '83.

Where did you get the 77 ft-lbs? I guess, where in the GTV6 or Milano workshop manual does it state this?

And Bingo was his name-o. I followed Greg's advise and really torqued down on the pinch bolt after first lubing the threads with anti-sieze. Having snaped bolts before, I've grown leary of doing this. I went about 90 ft-lbs on this lubed bolt. Result is no rattle, completely gone. Wish I would have ...

How much torque can I put on the pinch bolt. I know it takes a 17mm socket.

Finally got it all back together and guess what? It still rattles!!!
