I was able to remove it. But exactly how I can no longer remember. I have a feeling you need to pop out the toggle switch first. (it should come out if you pry it upward) then unscrew the ring.

I did try a puller but i had a slighty different set up. Your steering wheel hub look different. is it from a momo?

OK. This is getting to be a bit to much for me. I cant get this steering wheel off. I pulled the whole colulm out and had it on my vice and i was banging on the shaft with a small sledge hammer and a hard piece of wood. I also tried a 3/8" socket extension. I tried to get it off with a puller.....

How did you solder them if they're the crimp on type?
Did you remove the plastic sleeve, and solder them without crimping?

It seems mine is the same too. the wires go staight to the fuse box. Silly that they would make it without a connector. Did you cut and then put in some spade connectors?
Does anyone have a spare steering wheel they're willing to part with?
mine is in rought shape.

I haven't fixed the problem as of yet. sometimes the rev counter gets stuck. I wonder if the needle from another car would work? I'll give your method a shot.

This will be the first time i'll open up an alfa tranny. so basically i should check the clutch pressure plate setup and make sure it's not rusty. checkt he flywheel too. When you say suck it and see....does that mean install it and hope for the best? i know that the driveshaft is balanced on these ...
