Re: 3liter big-valve porting.

Jim, I take it the same porting method applies to the 2.5 heads?, all be it smaller valves and port dimensions in the first place obviously. i.e. the same percentage increase in the port dimesions, in the same locations on the inlet and exhaust ports, but applicable to the 2.5 dimensions?

Re: Fiberglass bonnet and hatch

Re: Fiberglass bonnet and hatch

no where near strong enough for a hatch lid, with such a big piece of glass. CF or composite may work. too much flex in fibreglass

Re: Please Dont Shoot !!!!

I would agree. the 155 was absolutely disgusting build quality. The 155 was an Alfa badged FIAT through and through, and a terrible replacement for the 75 IMO. it was built from the same stable as the Tempra and Typo, 2 of the cheapest nastiest cars, Fiat ever built.....

Re: Please Dont Shoot !!!!

the 164 doesn't really qualify as a "new" alfa It was designed and penned back in the 80's. Althout it was front wheel drive, it retains many of the characteristics of alfas from old, and was still built with passion. Things started to go wrong really when FIAT got more involved. It all st...

Re: Tired of replacing box mounts??-Barry

nice idea and job :D Just thinking out loud here, but, being that they are A arm bushes, (and A arms only move through 1 axis, with the bush providing some small damping) aren't they designed to take load in predominantly 1 axis? ie the rotational circumference? The tranny will be applying stress an...

Re: What sort of Alfa cars we want

No one seems to have mentioned the Mazda RX-8: nimble, light weight, a driver's car. Except for the rotary engine (which, unfortunately, is a key to the light weight) is this the arena that Alfa should compete in? ahem!! its a bloody ugly ricer that's why. if you wanna look like a spaz, dri...
