Ignition advance/retard 83 Euro
I have an 83 euro, but late with the 84 onward running gear. so teh later timing marks. @900rpm idel when I pull off the vacuum advance line, nothing happens at all, timing remains the same on the "F". The vacuum is working since the timing advances to "M" and beyond from about 1...

Re: fuel return line
thanks guys, but what you are talking about is an outward vent valve, hence why it goes back to the intake to be reclaimed of vapour. The fuel tank must still have an inward vent function to prevent vacuming of the tank. I cant see why Inward venting would be sent back to the engine, it defeats the ...

Re: fuel return line
returns to the engine? surely that's an outward vent for over pressure with vapour build up, and goes back to the engine for vapour recovery. are we sayinjg there is only one valve in the tank and its a two way shuttle?
Seems odd to me that inward tank venting would go back to the engine too

fuel return line
Hi all. so horrily Rich running as started again on the 6!. 2 questions. Should it be easy to blow air (human powered lol) through the fuel retun line back to the tank with fuel in?? My return line is very difficult to blow air back through, it resists a lot, then suddently allows air through then s...

Re: GTV6 / 75 gearbox mounts
3.0 75 forward mounts have 1.5cm spacer????, huh, never seen that. Do you mean 1.5mm spacer? all the euro 75 V6 mounts I have seen have a 1.5 mm spacer spotted on, 4 spot welds easily drilled off.

Re: Short Shift
Mir , how much did you move the ball up the shaft ( sounds bad) and by how much roughly did you extend the linkage bar? Don't mind me asking. Need to do something about race car. Kevin, pressed the ball up the shaft by 25mm IIRC. when you say linkage bar do you mean the longitudinal bar that runs f...

2.5 spark plugs
does anyone know if the original 2.5/3.0 plugs (Lodge IIRC) are ok in the 155 2.5 V6? I have a spare brand new set, and the 155 plugs need changing, so why waste money.. PS one for Mats ,or anyone else with a 155V6. how freaking eratic are the fuel guages on them?!!. or is it just mine? Jeezz i thou...

Re: Short Shift
cheers mate. Yea I had all the alloy rods etc ready to go and manufacture, but I decided to do just the pivot mod to start with and see how it felt as I went. To my surprise the pivot change alone improved the feel so much that I am well happy with it. As I say though, I may just shorten the crank a...

Re: Short Shift
HI MD, yes indeed. In the end I moved the ball up the shaft and cut nothing at all. I changed the bushings for phospher bronze ones though. I cut off the end of the selector fork at the shifter end, and introduced a kink so that the fork/rod would fit over the crossmember without any fouling. I left...

Re: Inlet Manifold Design
but the factory runner and plenum will already be designed for the broadest torque across the whole rev range, with power in mind. manufacturers spend a lot of effort to get the runners optimal length to make the engine most driveable. Both the 3.0 and 2.5 have very good torque low down for the rune...
