Ansa Stainless back box
HI all, I am currently in contact with a firm in the UK, whom are willing to reproduce the ANSA or STEBRO rear exhaust box with twin tail pipes, in stainless steel for the 2.5 and 3.0. I am going down this route since Ansa and Stebro dont have a UK distributor, or produce them in stainless, its a pa...

sorry if this has been covered before, I couldnt seem to find much in a search, but staying with the porting and polishing of the heads, are the 3litre 12v runners and intake plenum of a larger diameter than those on the 2.5 or are they the same? ie any advantage to fitting the 3 litre runners and p...

Thats the definately the kind of route Im looking at, Im not so sure that the head work and cams do work out sky high, prices wise, if you are fitting it at all back together yourself, and time is not an issue. I didnt realise that autodelta had done that, thats useful to know. Do you still have tho...

As I said, Im not interested in the supercharger Kit. This is purely and experimental exercise with a spare engine to see what kind of results some light head work and a set of fast road cams will do. A similar set up to the chapparal GTV6 set up from the early nineties. I believe compression rate w...

yeah, already doing that with a magnuson mp62 on my stock engine, my point was, I know I could do that, but Im more interested in playing with the spare engine with some minor mods to get a modest 20-25 horse power upgrade if possible, then drop it straight into a donor car for nipping around town i...

Gas flowed 2.5 with fast road cams
So I have been given a healthy 2.5 stock engine from a broken up gtv. I have a spare £2000 to spend, and am thinking of lightly tinkering with this engine, even though theres nothing wrong with my engine in my car. Im looking at mild porting and polishing of the top ends plus headers, and installing...

:D very nice. Im not surprised the gtv6 got the fords eventually, the fords looked like they handle about as well as a sponge. Im surprised at the GTV struggling with the 3 series bm's though, unless they are m3's, I would have thaught the power would have been similar. It would be interesting to kn...

sorrow, Im looking for pictures, and will post them when I find, in the next few days, unfotunatey I dont have pictures of the cable installed in the door, that would involve me taking all the sound proofing out of a door again, which I dont want to do until next wax injection. The pictures of the b...

Well, if thats the case, Im inclined to agree with zamani, it has to be something to do with incorrect fitting of the propshaft to the flywheel. perhaps they have mixed the bolts up. I would disconect the shaft from the fly wheel, then see if the engine will turn. Leave the plug leads off, so that i...

Are the cables missing altogether?? thats weird, since you have to take the barrels apart completely to remove the cables. To be honest, without having another unmolested barrel with cable still installed, you are going to have a really tough job. The cable is easy hard enough to locate in t...

Hmmm been here before :( . By transmission arm , if you are talking about the transmission selector rod, if there was a problem, with the parking brake off, the car would lurch forward if it were stuck in gear, when you attempt to start. Its possible the garage have done something really stupid, con...

here here....Im all for a Spanish driver to be up in the points, but Alonso is simp! when he doesnt win, he accuses the sport of being rigged one way... along with that other idiot Flavio, the guy is an arse. Schumi was ruthless and some of his calls were very questionable, but..... no one can deny,...
