Re: Dash Bower Fan R&R Help
MD,
Thanks for the info. Right now, I'm going to leave it alone as I can tolerate the sporadic sqeeks. The way it was you couldn't take it for 10 minutes.

Re: Dash Bower Fan R&R Help
MD, I like the idea of the after market unit if there was room. I actually got the fan to quit sqealing like a raped ape by shooting compressed air through the vents and then spraying a lubricant on the fan bearings. Just returned from a fast 6 hour trip and the fan on chirps from time to time. I HA...

Re: Dash Bower Fan R&R Help
MD, Gotta replace the fan as I've blown aire and lubricant where I could to clean and tried to remove. It looks like a bitch to do. It's squeeling like hell so it's on it's last leg. It's summer here and you know how these GTV6's can heat up. It looks more like a 9.5 on the scale to me!!! PITA!!!!!!...

A/C Idler Pulley Mounting Problem
I lost my Idler and mounting hardware. Fell off on the road due to rough roads. Anybody have any pics of the parts to mount the pulley and or have any spares. The bolt managed to make it.

Re: Tired of replacing box mounts??-Barry
I think these are totally cool!! That exhibits the creative side to 'fix' something... I bet they'll work just fine and not to start any arguement, I see they will allow enough flex yet restrict forces in all directions. I just did one of my "old" tricks from way back when on the rear engi...

Motor Removal & Rear Main Crank Seal R & R
After 11 years of GTV6 ownership (split in half by 12 years or so), I'm R & R'ing the 2.5 ltr motor and am stuck on removal. 1st; I'm not at my residence and no manual and this new laptop won't accept the CarDisc program as of yet. Any tricks to remove the engine? The rear cover is still attache...

Re: Right side rear retaining nut for wheel bearing
When I did my rear wheel bearings, I used a large, steel two prong puller. I used a large socket to remove the old one and simply used the old bearing to push the new one in with the same tools. With the old bearing used, there was no worry to damage.

Re: GTV6 wont start
If you're getting some oil deposits in 5 & 6, you might want to pull the valve covers real quick and re-torque the cylinder heads. I've had good luck by doing this in the past. Then watch these cylinders checking them periodically.

Re: GTV6 wont start
I would still double check the fuel. My'86 was running at the shop on the Monday of the week for shipping to me It wouldn't start on that Friday to put on the transporter. I to went the route checking all the electrics before the fuel.
Good luck!!!
