Murray, You will have better luck if you "break" the cotters loose. Take an appropriate socket fitted with an extension bar and hit the spring retainers firmly with a hammer. That action breaks the friction at the conical area, so when you later press the spring with the compressor you can...

Murray, When I took my driveshaft out I didn't see any bushing like this either. The shaft in the picture must be from an earlier non V6 model maybe because I don't see the yoke... or is it there?? The 2 GTV6s I have worked on the shaft had yokes. It doesn't seem to be an important component but sin...

Hi All. Here are the two types of heater valves I know (are there any more?). In the third pic the left hand valve is from my '84 GTV6 (parts car. R.I.P. :cry: ) and the right is from my '81 GTV6 (currently removing the rust behind the dash!) Murray, as you can see my valve is broken a bit different...
