I am not getting a clear enough picture of what you are saying and so I hesitate to make a comment but as a generalisation, I agree where I beleive you are coming from. Perhaps a scribble sketch off a scanner? Cheers, MD Which bit do you wa...

MD for stiffness this is not an ideal sulotion. I am not sure it can be done. But the pipe works better when it moves from for example left side junction @tower bar (on the shock) to right side junction @cross bar under the dash. You drawing makes a virtual rotation point which produces a twisting ...

Ahh yes, our wonderfull ADRs. My understanding on roll cages door bars to meet ADRs is that the bar must run below the level of the seat squabs, so the trick to getting a more effective diagonal may be to have it engineered with a set of seats with deep sides to the base cushion (deep race buckets m...

Nice fab work, but I would have done the rear half of that cage differently, and run a diagonal in the main hoop. You've got alot of tubing there that's not really doing much in terms of stiffness. One of the early M3 websites has an excellent collection of assorted cage designs as used in Supertour...

[quote="Mats]There is a lot of feelings and wanting around the 105 series but if you look at the pure fact the chassis is absolutely horrible in standard form, needs extensive rework to be fast. A 116 chassis needs only springs and shocks all around and an adjustment to be fast. Look at the rea...

Interesting that they suggest a 1400kg limit on the Ultralite rotors for a heavy braking cicuit. I've got a pair of Ultralites (The price was too good to resist) here waiting for me to get off my ass a build a decent brake setup for my car, however, now i'm not sure they'll stand up to pulling the c...
