so have a look at some...bargain wheels
Holy smoke - but in terms of huge Alfa wheels I can't think of anything more appropriate. But, that borders the cost of a complete US verde, or a complete RS Racing suspension kit.

Still wondering what they weigh in 17x8ish... Is it all looks?

JJ,

If it is really double, we could also consider some semi-custom combo from C&R.

JJ, 5400 rev limiter - sounds like your tachometer reads too low. I'm trying to recall, so this is with some uncertainty, but at 85 MPH I think the verde tachometer reads something like 3500 RPM (in 5th). I had my tachometer reconditioned some 5 years ago, and it has worked flawlessly since. The tac...

I would suggest that you investigate the practicallity in bringing your GTV6 into the US. I'm not sure where you are coming from, and whether the importation of your GTV6 is beyond 1 year (possibility of excemption), but if you are unfamiliar with US regulations I suggest to double and triple check ...

Since the fitting for the radiator cap at the top of the radiator will sit below the top of the engine (I believe), it seems we would need a separate overflow bottle (as standard on 75). Hence we would either need to weld a nipple onto that fitting, or find another model. But, at $270...

Greg, It is a radiator with built-in heat-exchanger (between oil and coolant). Technically, it is not an oil cooler, but serves to maintain same oil and coolant temp. Effectively though, it will serve to cool the oil in some cases. This is instead of having both a (expensive) custom radiator plus a ...

The CA smog test is more than just emissions testing - then it would be no problem to do all kinds of things. However, CA smog test includes a visual check that practically everything is stock... I don't think anyone is arguing that a properly tuned modern aftermarket EMS is capable of running clean...

Saab, Saab, Saab, Saab, Saab, Saab ...

Knew you were fishing...

Yeah, can't wait to get my fingers on it again, either.

BTW, the gearboxes _are_ being rebuilt, gears lightened, shift linkage rebuilt...

I`d like to see some visual aspects on the 3.7L Verde.
Uh, was that for me? Don't think we should hijack this thread.

Race seat

So, which race seat do you have in your track car? I have been looking a little, and it seems that Cobra makes some seats with cabon-fiber/kevlar shell at a price at which the typical brand names only provide fiber glass. My understanding is that the carbon-fiber/kevlar seats are much stronger than ...

Guys, play nice, please.

I don't know Barry, but all the outporing of support speaks for itself!

Though, unlike most of you, I know JJ. Whatever perception some of you may have of him, he is a truly great guy, period! with his heart the right place.

So, please, no more cheap shots.

Uhh, 16" to 17" has no impact on the contact surface. A 17" will fit larger rotors and calibers than a 16" wheel, but that is somewhat academic (in most cases). Given same circumference of the wheel+tire combo the 17" wheel will typically give you a slightly rougher ride. Si...

Yup, kept both, but the verde may be going as I have the milano 3.7 V6 24v track project picking up steam. Back then I was getting the Q - had been looking for years, on and off, for a low milage one. So when a 27k orignal miles one came up I jumped on it. No repaints on either car, original paint. ...
