My 85 GTV6 has a timer. The interior lights go off about 15 seconds after the door is shut. You can hear the relay/timer click when they go off.
I'll have to check the 84 but I think its the same.

Murray, For my 2nd MS install, I purchased a completed unit. You will still have to do the mods as per the GTV6 MS install, fuel pump mod, etc but its no big deal after doing an assembly from scratch. I made an adapter cable from the socket from an old l-jet box to a DB37 to plug into the MS box. Th...

Bill, You will still need the AAV with MS unless you have some other method to give it more air when cold. It's not connected to MS though. You should hear it hiss when cold. When I installed MS on my 3.0L and put in the larger inlet runners and air intake (no AFM) I had to open up the AAV further t...

Thanks Steve,

I think that's the easiest and quickest way to go.

Now to see what the freight cost is from the US!

I'm working on a similar problem. Just transplanted a 75 box in an 84 GTV6. It now goes very fast according to the speedo. There is nothing under the back seat on the 75. The 3 wire sender connects straight to the speedo and the mileage calculation thing. The GTV6 has a 2 wire sender, althoug...

Terry, I've just finished fitting a 75 (milano) iso linkage transaxle to my 84 GTV6 non iso. Both have the bush on the shifter and the fork on the linkage. The 75 and GTV6 iso linkages have a 6mm bolt and the GTV6 non iso an 8mm bolt. The fork is also wider on the iso linkage so the bushes are not i...

Barry,

No problem, I agree with you entirely with using a guage. I was just thinking of a quick method using the sender if its still in the block to see if there really was no oil pressure.

Seb,

Mine is the regular 3.0L. Yes, I think it is the low oil pressure light on the dash, What I was thinking, if you connect a powered bulb to it it should tell you if your oil pressure drops too much if it comes on when the engine is running.

Seb, The 3.0L should have a low oil pressure sender beneath the original distributor hole. At least I think that what it's for as I don't use it. Hook up a bulb to the sender and see if it lights up or use the hole with appropriate fittings to fit an oil pressure guage. My 164 12V 3.0L has heaps bet...

Pierre,

The 2.5 or 3.0 is cast at the rear of the RH head against the firewall. Get a piece of paper and with dirty fingers press it against the casting. You should get an impression like this.

Bill, I'm about to go to MSN-e and have been following your progress. I would think MS can't affect the plugs as it is working on the primary side of the coil. Can you swap a plug lead and see if the problem moves as well? Also the timing light not triggering would indicate power not getting to the ...
