Nice work Daniel, Is that a 24V from a GTV6/166? If it is i'm keen to find out the issues with fitting? I decided to go the 164 3.0 route as I found a 116 car already fitted with one and it was cheap. I plan on transplanting the 3.0 into my original 116 as it has some nice mods (suspension, gearbox)...

Hi Patzo, Correct me if I'm wrong but when I take off the 2.5 runners from my 164 3.0LV6 I am now looking directly at the inlet port. I think a standard 164 3.0l (from pics i've seen) normally has an inlet manifold/spacer between its runners and the head. So taking away the 164 inlet manifold/spacer...

GTV 3.0 Questions
Hi All, Finally I've got my 3.0L. Not a 24V unfortunatley but I don't think I have the time required to do a 24V conversions. I came across a GTV6 fitted with a 3.0 164 12V motor. The car is in average condition but the motor seems fine so I'll transplant it into my good 116. My question is, The inl...

How to identify a 3.0L Alfa 75?
Hi All, I'm on the hunt for a 3.0 75 engine and need to know what chassis/VIN numbers correspond to a euro/aussie 3.0 alfa 75? I have been told a 3.0L should start as ZAR162 B60 and a 2.5L is ZAR162 B30 Is this true or, even better, does someone out there have a 3.0 75 and can they tell me what thei...

Hello Bernie and MD, I would prefer the 166 24V but was concerned with the usual, Pluming, engine mounts, flyweel adaption to donuts, bell housing adaptation and ecu fit. Is the 3.0 24V out of the 166 the same engine as the 3.0 24v out of the 164 Super? I am chasing a 75 3.0 wreck and a 166 3.0 wrec...

166 3.0L 24V fit to 83 GTV6
Hi, I want to upgrade to a 3.0L in my 83 GTV6. I would think that the easiest way would be to source a 3.0L from a late model 75/Milano as I assume it would be an easy swap. The other option is a 24v 3.0L from a late model 166. Has anyone tried to fit a 166 motor in a 116 GTV6? Finding a 24V 164 mot...
