I have T1/Ss on my GTV6, I love them, they transformed the car! But they were the first so called 'ultra high performance' tyre I have tried. They were the same price as budget tyres too. I am still watching my pennys so will probably try Nankangs next, even cheaper and almost the same marks on test...

In a tired, standard GTV6 its getting hard to find cars to smoke! Sad to admit I got hammered through the gears by a Seat Ibiza recently! We rounded a tight motorway intersection neck and neck then both stepped on it. The Ibiza pulled away from 60kph up until the legal limit. It was not even a new I...

WTB Front bumper inserts (Euro GTV6)
Hi, I'm trying to get hold of the front bumper corner inserts for a euro GTV6, especially the driver's side (on a UK RHD car). It is not for a concours car so a few scratches are fine as long as its not cracked. Mine fell off (drivers side) after driving on Porto's cobbled streets!
Thanks

How are the autodelta cams higher up the rev range? Is the motor modified in any other way? Fair comment from Fernando, I never rev the nuts off it from cold but it can be hard to stay below 3000 it gets there very quickly in first. Maybe I should use 2nd for the first few Km...By the way I have don...

I don't exceed 3000rpm until I see the oil pressure gauge drop significantly at idle, unfortunately the aggressive driving style of other road users and the low low 1st gear can make this very difficult in town! I think the new type head gasket is much more robust but the hydraulic cam belt tensione...

Happy Christmas to everyone on the forum, I know I haven't posted much lately, blame the latest addition to my family Rafael David, born on November 25th. Luckily I have a pro- Alfa family, my wife loves it and has forbidden me from selling it! I am even spending money we have saved up for a house o...

Cruise Control on 3ltr 75 (Milano)?
Hi! A spanish friend needs to use his 75 America for long trips and was wondering if it was available anywhere with cruise control, and if so what type it was? I said I'd ask the question on this forum in English for him. I guess its pretty different to what most people want from their Alfas althoug...

The same is true to this day in Portugal, you see many versions of cars here that are not sold in Northern Europe like 1.4 golfs and focuses. The BMW 320iS came here too. I think I heard there were about 20 GTV6s in Portugal! You still see lots of upscale cars in the posh areas but their owners pay ...

The problem is now fixed, one of the selectors was slightly bent and they bent it back and this fixed the problem, at least thats what I think happened, my Portuguese is not that great! It requires slightly more force to go to the 1st/2nd plane but I remember it being like that before. The garage we...

I am taking the car back today, I will let you know what they do to sort it out. The gearbox was fine before and hasn't been touched internally so it sounds like its not quite installed correctly. Hopefully, it won't be too complex to sort out.. :D . Thanks for all the advice, it gives me more idea ...

The garage took my gearbox out to sort out the clutch linkage, which they have done successfully. However the springing is now out of whack as described. The shift was fine before they took it out. Could they have connected up the shifter mechanism off centre? The shift actually feels better apart f...

My 84 GTV6 has just come back from the workshop with the same problem. Could the springloading be the wrong way round? So the strong springloading is stopping you getting into 1st and 2nd instead of 5th and reverse. It pretty weird to drive like this isn't it? I guess its probably fixed by now, what...
