Re: Road Trip
BTW Grant, the kids did enjoy it because we made sure they did something special and nice every day. My daughter still talks about the aquarium in GIjon and keeps asking to go back, its only 4 days drive! As far as air con is concerned, the last day (Carcassonne-Nice) was a nightmare because of the ...

Day 3: Candas - Perlora, Spain to Santillana del Mar, Spain The highlight of the day for my 3 year old daughter was a visit to the Aquarium in Gijon. Another easy day driving along the North coast of Spain into Cantabria. We managed a late night visit to Santillana del Mar, a medieval village a few...
Road Trip
Hello everyone, I have been on this site for a while. I have owned a 1984 GTV6 since 1998, until 2006 it was my daily driver, then the rapid arrival of two children and a lack of air conditioning made me get a Ford Escort to do the daily stuff. Last year I moved from Portugal to France and I couldn'...

Re: Suggestions on an Alfa GTV6 Radio
I would personally try and source a high end period stereo, if it has line in you can even use your iPod with it. By the 80s there were some pretty decent in car systems around with plenty of power and good quality if they are in good condition. Makes like Alpine, Pioneer, etc.... I have a 1999 Alpi...

If you can't find in US:
http://www.securon.co.uk
They are cheaper if you get them through a dealer rather than direct, Quiller Triumph in the UK sell them.

They are not that expensive although transport will cost a bit to the US I guess.

Re: identification plate under bonnet missing
The VIN is stamped on the bulkhead too at least on my UK model.. I needed to clean this up so the inspector could read it before they let me register it in Spain. I also don't have the chassis plate but in Spain they let me register it because the VIN matched the documents. I am going to try to regi...

Re: today 1st May 15th anniversary loss of Ayrton
The old F1 cars sound wonderful. I was at a Formula Renault race in Valencia a few years ago and they started up a 70s Turbo F1 Renault while I walked past. What a noise! The old guys who looked after them were grinning like mad!

Re: today 1st May 15th anniversary loss of Ayrton
They are all setting up the F1 circus outside my window at work as I am writing this... Can't wait for Sunday! I wonder how serious Ferrari was in threatening to quit F1... I was a big Senna fan too I can't believe its 15 years. Does anyone remember the '84 Monaco GP with Senna in a Toleman catching...
