I agree.. there definitely is a serious problem with the shift mechanism on these cars. I haven't had a chance to really disassemble mine yet.. is there any room for heim-joints/spherical bushings to replace rubber bits?

Is it possible to remove the carpet without removing the heater core? I have the entire interior out sans heater and the carpet itself, and haven't been able to get a light up in there to see whats keeping the carpet from just sliding out.

Maybe it's just me, but I think it would be great to have an "Interior" forum. With parts being as specific as they are to these cars, it would be nice to have a spot to talk about dash swaps, removing/repairing headliners, etc etc. No other complaints though.. the new forums are wonderful!
