Re: need Gotech Pro Computer

Hi Kevin, I figured it out myself. Good to know that I went with the same system. I still have my 1971 Spider waiting to be completed for years. I did not want to invest more time and $ in the GTV6. It running great and I will post some pictures. I am going to bring it to the track this year with my...

Re: need Gotech Pro Computer

Hi Kevin, Thanks for the Reply. I was able to source the correct Serial Cable. Female to Female straight though connections. When I installed the new ECU the Alfa Started right up. I was able to download the old map and everything is good to go. I used the Alfa over the weekend on Redwood Road to go...

Re: need Gotech Pro Computer

Hi Kevin, I hope you are well. Domingo said that you paid him a visit in S.A. I appreciate your help and I know that there is not alot of activity on our GTV6 forum. I have received a free computer to load the software on and I will do this tonight. I just need to find a cable again and/or buy one. ...

Re: need Gotech Pro Computer

Hello Alfa GTV6 community, I just received my 2 Gotech ECU from Domingo (. Did not realize how hard it is to bet parts from S.A. I just realized that my computer that I used for this project is dead and I don't have the Gotech program. Easy enough though. I just downloaded the Software Manual, and I...

Re: need Gotech Pro Computer

After a long delay on finding a new Gotech computer due to the fact that I am so busy with my job, I was able to speak with Domingos. He is such a nice person and has some old ECU that he is giving to me for free. I just need to have DHL pick them up from South Africa and have them shipped to CA. I ...

need Gotech Pro Computer

My GTV6 computer looks like it is broken. We do not get a spark coming out of the computer for 2 coil packs. The distributor in Florida said that this unit I have is 15 years old?? Anyway they said that I would have to buy the new one and rewire the Alfa. Sounds tough. Does anyone know were i can ge...

Re: Introduction

Hi Kevin, Thank you for your post. So many things going on that I did not have a chance to address this last issue. You were correct. I had help to fix this since I am so busy to do the work myself. It turns out that the brand new Clutch Master Cylinder seals were causing this issue. Once we replace...

Re: 1982 GTV6 Restored/Modified

Hi Micheal, The engine was rebuilt by Ferrari of Seattle and then JJ converted it for me. I have all the receipts from Ferrari of Seattle along with what JJ helped me with. Hi Maldi, I know what you mean, I just put this statement in just in case this was an objection to a possible buyer. The Alfa i...

Re: 1982 GTV6 Restored/Modified

Hi Zamani, yes its is true that this is similar in price to my prior F355 spider. My F355 was way faster but it had its issues as well. First off all that $3,500 minor and $7,500 major tune up assuming no other issues is a tough sell to my wife and advisors. Also you are comparing this Alfa which is...

Re: 1982 GTV6 Restored/Modified

Hi Xrad,
We still have not decided what to do. FYI, these were the first good pictures. The Alfa has working windshield wipers but no water to the wiper system as of today. Ok, lets get a better offer than 30K. :D

Re: 1982 GTV6 Restored/Modified

I know it is sad. Happy wife means happy life. She wants me to get her a condo in Hawaii and this is the reason why I am considering selling it. I have an offer of $30,000 so far. This is about 63 Cents on the dollar not including the car and all my time. We will see what happens.

Re: Clutch Slave Replacement

I did not personally bleed it. JJ did and then I think that Phil did when we had to replace the clutch. The brake fluid was lower and I know that fluid was released in the rear since I saw the smoke. There was also the usual burnt clutch smell as well. Are you suggesting that we just rebleed the sys...

Clutch Slave Replacement

I have some questions. We installed a new clutch Slave on the restoration of our Alfa. We have driven it around 700 miles since the restoration and the last trip we had an issue. The Clutch peddle hit the the floor, there was smoke from the back area, and the clutch grabbed higher and higher. It was...
